I was represented by Bill Wides to handle a child support modification case. Bill was brought in last minute, but he got up to speed immediately and navigated the issues expertly. I couldn't even get to square one with these guys. Their "policy" is to charge a $200 consult fee before scheduling an appt. You mean to tell me I have to pay $200 to find out that the attorney can't represent me? What if the attorney has a conflict of interest? Or doesn't take cases like mine? Or their fees are too high? Nope... $200. I've used attorneys before and they all offered 15 min at no charge or about $40 to get started. I'm not asking for legal advice. I just want to know their qualifications, philosophy on settling vs. going to court, fees, terms, personality, etc. I don't think I'm being unreasonable. I'll take my money someplace else. I recommend you do the same. The 4.5 stars is very misleading. Given my experience with them, I'm a little suspicious of these 5 star reviews in Google. Yelp has them at 3 stars. UPDATE: I just went to the Virginia State Bar Referral Service. They want $35. Spend your money wisely and take it someplace else.

If you don’t wanna go to jail for a minor traffic violation please don’t go to this firm. You’ll find the worst costumer service, unprofessionalism and get treated like your freedom doesn’t matter. Had to pay a $200 consult fee to speak with someone regardind a guardian ship. First thing I was told was that I was too old to take guardianship of my 6 year old nephew who was in a car accident and lost his mother and grandmother. Then I was told that it was no use fighting the estranged sperm donor for custody. This is someone who never paid child support, was put in jail, has 12 children by 4 other women and doesn't support any of them. But the court just handed my nephew over to him. Sad, very sad, I want my money back!
