Do not! I repeat do not hire this lawyer. Every single thing that could have went against me concerning my divorce went against. After spending thousands of dollars absolutely nothing went in my favor. After hiring another attorney to fix all the damages that was done I finally realized just how much I wasted both my time and money. I understand divorces can be stressful and bad but due entirely to me hiring this attorney, the stress was multiplied. I could have represented myself and got the exact same results.

I am sharing my experience because I do not want anyone else to experience what I went through.

Save yourself your good money, valuable time and grief!!! DO NOT hire Janet Brown!! Her fees are outrageous!!! She took over $3000 from me for my case and she did not deliver!! She charged my credit card multiple times for the same service, claiming that the charge never went through!!....and then tried to cover it up like a shell game! Well, it turned out that the initial charge had gone through on my credit card. She failed to confess this to me. She missed following up on what was promised. After missing the deadline, I tried calling her several times, however she avoided and ignored my calls. When I finally got a hold of her months later and questioned her why she did not follow through, she started yelling at me and told me that she was not going to do the work! She dropped me!! She also hung up on me!! I plan to file a complaint with the Virginia State Bar.

THE WORST EXPIERIENCE EVER. This is the most unprofessional, most un-friendly attorney I have ever encountered. She arrives late consistently, and is not willing to assist her clients. She is easily angered, and will charge you outrageous fees. Do not waste your money, you will regret it.
