Most of the good reviews are written by business partners/friends. My experience was absolutely horrible.

Homophobes!! I wish I had another set of hands so I could give them four thumbs down. They Took thousands of dollars for me. They did nothing but procrastinate. Contracts shouldn’t have taken more than a week. It took them nearly 10 months to do very little but edit my spouses lawyers work And fired me without so much as a phone call and then alerted my wife’s counsel immediately and left me in a very vulnerable position. They worked against me in the end! Ignored all communication from me. I wound up having to sign the original contract my wife’s counsel had drawn up over 10 months ago. I am infuriated to think how much money I spent and they essentially did nothing for me except take my money They did not care to hear my side of the story - that my wife had an affair with a man in her group therapy. They did nothing for me but tell me to wait and in the meantime they did very little work but we’re happy to take my money. If you are looking for a law firm that does very little work and treats you like a number, look no further - you have found the lawyer for you! That last response shows how gutless they are. They were against me from the beginning due to my sexual orientation. They are a bunch of homophobes. Do not trust these people. They just want your money.

Brian Hirsch is a super attorney. He is sensible, fair and takes care of his clients in top-notch fashion. I worked with one of his associates and had the same wonderful experience. I highly recommend this firm.

Brian helped me and my now ex husband navigate the divorce process successfully through his mediation services. He is very professional, knowledgeable and fair. He helped us move forward when we got stuck, and provided likely scenarios if asked based on his many years of experience. He is also very organized and detail oriented, and never once I had the feeling we were wasting our time.
I highly recommend Brian Hirsch.

I've had the opportunity to know and work with Brian as a satisfied client for well over a decade. In addition to the initial engagement we have stayed in touch over the years to share life experiences and keep informed of ever changing county guidelines. I've found Brian to be a knowledgeable professional that understands the human aspect of practicing in the family law specialization in addition to the legal aspects. I would recommend Brian without reservation to anyone seeking compassionate advise and council from an experienced practitioner.

Engaging Brian Hirsch as my attorney to help me work through an extremely stressful marital breakdown was one of the best decisions I made. Brian’s calm and knowledgeable approach helped me focus on the practical issues and enabled me to make informed decisions for myself and my children’s future and well-being. Brian worked extremely hard to procure the best options for me, and I am very grateful to him for his professional assistance and support throughout my ordeal. I highly recommend Brian to all for his professional services.

Brian Hirsch is a true professional and an outstanding attorney. He was well prepared and communicated expertly during both mediation and divorce proceedings. I have referred many friends and colleagues to Brian, and they have all been highly satisfied with the outcome he and his firm have provided.

I am happy with my experience with Brian Hirsch. Without getting into details, rumor has it that I was in a very difficult situation and mediation would be challenging. Brian was organized and focused at every session and was able to tone down emotional sessions and get me and my ex to communicate. He had us focus on one to two topics at each session, which was helpful. At the end of day, mediation agreements were executed.

As a divorced Father, I am often amazed at the outdated interpretation of family laws and guidelines that were created long ago and have no basis in today's world. Times are simply different now and there are many outstanding Father's that simply deserve better than the laws and guidelines provide them. Thankfully I found Brian Hirsch and through his wisdom, knowledge and understanding of family law, was able to successfully turn the interpretations of those same laws and guidelines in my favor. On two separate occasions over the last 10 years, Brian was able to defend my rights as a Father and gain me both added visitation with my daughter, as well as financial relief. I have so much to thank Brian for that the words "thank you" would simply not be enough. -John B.

Brian handled my divorce. He was professional and fair. He was flexible in allowing me to do some of the legwork in gathering some of the discovery information order to keep the cost down.

Brian is a miracle worker. He combines a deep sense of humanity, warmth, caring and incredible listening skills with a complete understanding of the law and the ability to be innovative in finding workable solutions. He is a bridge builder and barrier climber. His interaction in our matter reflected a firm pragmatism while continuously striving to achieve a result that protected our children and didn't leave my ex-spouse and I hating each other.
Most importantly he always showed a deep respect not only for the emotional costs of divorce, but responsible sensitivity for the practical costs.
He's a lawyer's lawyer.

He is truly a wise person in the field of family law, and many Northern Virginia attorneys turn to him for his expertise as a mediator.

If you are looking for an attorney with impressive knowledge and maturity, as well as interpersonal acumen, Brian is your guy!!! I give him my highest recommendation.

I have been seen him couple of time's for the hardship of myself and wife marriage. He has at most best for both us and more than mediator and he himself acted at time's like family and gave valuable suggestions and which i liked most of him. He give's ample of time to think about life.

I can rate him 10/10 , I went on google review with other one's as well , But Brian is best.

Please do not take any negative review's which other wrote about him or his company. Please see when you need to and you will be happy person comming out of the door.

I have referred many clients to Brian over the past 15 years and will continue to do so given his great track record of success as an attorney and mediator in managing high conflict divorce cases. He is truly a leader in the field of family law, and many DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia attorneys turn to him for his expertise as a mediator. I have fittingly referred to Brian as the "Divorce Whisperer" because of his professionalism, as well as his skills and talents in calming and resolving high conflict separation and divorce moments. If you are looking for an attorney with impressive knowledge and maturity, as well as interpersonal acumen, Brian is your guy!!! I give him my highest recommendation.

My wife and I had reached significant progress for settlement. Once Hirsch took over, he ignored all the progress we had made and used the discovery process to use my wife as cash machine and an ATM. Hirsch’s action and conduct has been completely contrary to my wife’s wishes. He has ignored his client’s request and does what he wants in order to ramp up charges. His billing practice is completely unethical.
Hirsch knowingly and routinely allows false statements and lies in response to discovery, interrogatories and request for admission to be filled on behave of his client. Hirsch has routinely practice in unprofessional way. He is hostile, obnoxious, and rude.
Hirsch advertises as a self-proclaimed mediator. The only thing he is not is a mediator since he simply lacks skill, understanding and compassion to engage in meaningful settlement discussion. His conduct is routinely and completely unprofessional, unbecoming of a self-proclaimed mediator and negotiator.
He engages in illegal action like issuing subpoena for UTMA account for adult children.
In summary Brain Hirsch is a worthless peace of dirt and I would not recommend him to my dog. Stay away from Hirsch and this firm unless you want to transfer all you own and get nothing in return.
