I set up an appointment with then at 4 pm I show up 20 minutes early (3:40pm) I waited 35 minutes and it turns out that the lawyer wasn't even in the office don't waste your time like I wasted mine. So unprofessional

I strongly recommend Russel Ray. He was a fierce advocate on my behalf and helped me get the exact divorce settlement I wanted. He worked hard, and often on short suspense, to get things done on my schedule. He had several good ideas when it came to considering possible strategies, and I felt he always had my best interest in mind. A big shout-out to his administrative assistant, Jessica, as well. She was proactive on several occasions when I was out of town and took the initiative to call me in addition to emailing me so I could be sure to have time-sensitive information. I'm totally satisfied and give him my highest, unqualified recommendation.

This firm is very nonchalant, and I would highly recommend to stay away from them and just go to another one. There are so many firms out there, so it's really not worth going with a firm like this one where their secretary AND attorneys are very casual and unprofessional. I first called and spoke to a very rude and unprofessional secretary who said she'll have an attorney call me back real soon. 6 hours later, I took it upon myself to give them one more chance, and called back myself. I so happened to get a hold of Russell Ray himself, the second time. He wasn't quite a rude as his secretary who never had anyone call me back, but was just as casually careless. He said he was on the phone, and would call me right back. I never got a call back from him or anyone else from their firm. You can only imagine how well and genuinely these folks would handle any case you may have. Again, like i said, do yourself a huge favor and go find another firm. There are so many out there, and most of them have far more competence, courtesy, and professionalism than these ppl.

The secretary there was absolutely horrible. She sounded a bit racist. I say this bc as soon as I mentioned my name to her (which sounds like a very traditional Oriental name), her whole demeanor changed. She started to sound very rude and condescending. Then at the conclusion of my call, she pretty much hung up on me. This is definitely not a firm I'd recommend anyone to take a chance on (especially if you're Asian).

Russel Ray was of great help, very professional and caring. I am very blessed that I found Mr. Ray, he was very understanding, even providing me with flexible payments. His paralegal, Jessica is very helpful, knowledgeable and amicable. She kept me informed of everything that was going on.

The things were complicated for me, because the divorce was filed in Virginia and I Lived in Massachusetts, but via phone and emails we communicated and work in my cases . Under those circumstances I was terrified and frustrated, I trusted her and she was really helpful.
Mrs. Mehnaz was the only lawyer in Alexandria, VA who is licensed not just in Divorce but Immigration matter as well, fully prepared and trustful. She handle both of my cases and in both of them she was very successful. I got my divorce in peace and with the enough support to sent my documents to Immigration.

I really don't know where to start with this review because there are so many positive things I can share regarding Russell Ray and his associates and staff at Russell W. Ray, PLLC. I unfortunately went through and nasty, painful divorce which took a very long time and lot of work to complete. Attorney Ray was in my corner and supportive throughout the process as well as commanding an unwavering understanding of the law, the divorce process, as well as bankruptcy issues that were also involved in my case. His legal prowess produced a verdict in my custody and divorce cases that were far better than I could have imagined. I don't believe there is a better divorce, bankruptcy and domestic matters attorney in the DMV! I highly recommend this firm!
