I had both Lance in Los Angeles and SD branch. Pictures of their errors which became the other sides argument to dismiss I will post. Tremendous errors. So bad that I truly believed they disliked me. $7,950 in bunk court appearances and $65,000 deeds on my property for a dismissed restraining order. Don't we call this conversion?

They are amazing and saved my case against someone trying to take custody away from me. I have been referred to Eli Hammond by a family member and the firm did an amazing job in my case. I've been battling brutal divorce for year and half until I hired this firm specifically Eli and Frederick who took my case very seriously and brought results which finally gave me 50% legal custody of my children I strongly recommend Fathers who fight for their children to hire this firm.

Run! Sad to see other horrible reviews but at least I know I wasn't the only one robbed by this fraud of a firm. I thought I would be able to handle my custody hearing on my own but the more I thought about it the more I felt like I would need someone in my corner to advocate for me. And the day before my hearing I spoke with Charlene and decided to hire her on a limited scope basis. I met her at the courthouse on the day of my hearing and I was SO glad to have her by my side. She didn't rush me at all and she took her time getting familiar with the details of my case. I didn't get everything that I was asking for but that's understandable since she didn't have much time to prepare. I had a DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESTRAINING ORDER put on me by my wife as a tactic to position herself for custody in a divorce. I was THROWN out of my house for TWO weeks not able to see my daughters and the police made me leave with no clothes except for what I was wearing. I slept in my car. I guarantee that every positive rating for this firm is written by an employee! These people sat on my case for 4 months and did nothing except "draft" papers which cost me over $2,000 dollars. Please do what I did not do and run after reading these ratings! Because regardless, after $2,400 dollars ANY firm should be able to do SOMETHING (and not just draft papers that don't even make it to court. These guys just want you to put money down and start you on a monthly payment. They will use that up by charging # different people to do the same draft and before you know it there is no more money. Very basic scheme this firm uses.

Mr. Arran Treadway has been the most attentive, caring, thorough and best family attorney I have ever encountered. Last November I left my wife after years of dysfunction and drama. A few weeks after I left, my ex served me with divorce papers. She hired an attorney, and she was out to burn me. She was wanting full custody of our son, child support, spousal support, and attorney's fees from me. She alleged that I was a drug addict and a violent husband. Needless to say, I realized it was time for a lawyer. I had a few phone consultations before I called CnG. Once I spoke with C&G, I felt like they were the firm for the job.
I met with an attorney named Eli Hammond. Once I met with Eli, I explained to him the situation, and I explained to him my desired outcome. Eli really took the time to listen and ask questions, and he seemed genuine. I was charged a $3500 dollar retainer, and Eli Hammond officially became my divorce lawyer. After I further explained the relationship problems with my ex, with the physical abuse at me over the years, and verbal/mental abuse towards the kids, Eli immediately suggested that I file a restraining order against my ex. So, I did. We won the order of protection, and my ex was given a stiff dose of reality. She immediately expedited the RO hearing, and we were scheduled to appear in court a few days later. long story short, My RO was upheld and her counter RO was denied! What a victory, seemed justice was working! My son was returned to me after weeks without seeing him.
The next time we went to court we were scheduled for custody mediation. I asked for 50-50 custody, she wasn't budging however. She insisted on wanting full custody. So, we saw the judge and the judge ordered 50-50 custody for my son and 8 hours visitation a week with my step daughter(who I raised most her life)
I was especially impressed about my daughter because I have no legal rights to her honestly. But Eli was good, explaining everything in detail to the judge. This custody order was temporary until we returned to finalize the divorce. In turn I dropped my restraining order so the kids could see their mom. Eli went to work, contacting my witness list of people who had witnessed my ex hit me or abuse me. He gathered multiple witness statements, and he was able to submit them to the judge as bargaining power in case we went to trial.
Trial was postponed until July, 8 months later. Over that span, Eli remained in contact with me, my exs attorney, and he was able to schedule a sit down with me, my ex, and our lawyers to attempt to solve the divorce. My ex and I didn't own too many things, vehicles and furniture, a couple atvs, and a hot tub. She had 25000 in her IRA, but not much else. We had similar incomes, although on paper my ex made more. I was asking for 50-50 custody, splitting holidays and costs for my son. I asked for 8 hours a week with my step daughter, zero alimony, zero child support, and half the marital assets. My ex was asking for 100% custody with support and alimony, and no assets to be given to me. Eli had developed such a strong case against my ex that he thought I would win full custody. He explained this to the opposing council, and he used the facts of the case as leverage to negotiate a great order! As of last week, I am divorced!! I got 50-50 custody, Zero child support/alimony, and all marital assests divided!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect outcome! Needless to say, it was a huge win, and I owe so much to Eli and to Claery and Green!
Getting divorced is not easy. It was definitely a transition for me. I have struggled to pay the balance owed to the firm, but they have been so patient and cool, and still represented me, even after I was behind over 4 months with the bill! Truly, I would HIGHLY recommend the firm to anyone going through a tricky divorce! These guys are truly the best in the business, and they deliver results! This law firm is awful! They have you pay for a retainer to start, then every day are asking for more money for something else. Not to mention they will pass you from one Jr attorney to the next. I started the process of trying to gain custody of my children, and thought that I was hiring Lance Cleary. Only to find out that he doesn't practice anymore, he only advises the Jr attorneys. My case was then given to Andrew Tran, who sounded like he knew what he was doing. But when my case went to the court he couldn't show up and had another Jr attorney show up for him. Then I guess he was to busy or couldn't handle the work load because he handed it off to the other Jr attorney. I can't give you a review on her because the Judge decided that San Diego did not have jurisdiction.

I would absolutely NOT recommend this law firm for family matters.

Failed to move simple case forward - TWICE - by simply not sending clients the documents to fill out. Kept billing of course. After the the first time you'd think the client wouldn't have to follow up to be sure everything is moving forward, but you'd be wrong because that's exactly what happened.

At least three attorneys came and went in our basic case (hopefully they took their career to better places).

Hire a paralegal instead or learn to be one because even filing and mailing was beyond their abilities in our experience.

I can't give zero so I have to give one. Trying to bill me 30,000 dollars for a restraining order I never should have gotten awarded against me. LET ME REPEAT 30,000 DOLLARS FOR A RESTRAINING ORDER. Basically won the case and the lawyers pressed me for depositions etc. The entire thing took over six months. I was divorced for a fraction of the cost they are trying to bill me. Horrible service, inarticulate lawyers that were an embarrassment to stand next to, and ultimately, it all cost me the case and several thousand dollars for nothing. They are unwilling to help in most cases and the only time I really heard from them was from billing. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE OUTCOME OF YOUR CASE--STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COST. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Absolutely horrible service on every front. What a total disaster. I usually never give reviews but felt the need to take their rating down a notch due to their lack of production and total disorganization. Stay away. The BS upfront cheap price that you see ends up being a lot more due to their unproductive methods. My case was as simple as it gets.....still not complete after 9 months and dealing with my 3rd attorney on the case because people continue to quit and move on from Claery & Green.
