Unhelpful and dismissive on Mr. Farahani's part. He only looked at the reasons not to take my case, told me that it isn't worth it to him, and completely failed to understand that I'm not simply looking for back payment of my rent - I'm looking to take a slumlord entity down, and seek compensation to cover back rent for multiple tenants as well as damages incurred to personal property, and pain & suffering restitution. He says if a case won't win more than $150k that it's not worth his time, and that I should seek out a young "spring chicken" lawyer to take on my case. I was looking for a shark, Mr. Farahani, not a waste of my own precious time and resources.

Ms. Campbell was the most helpful, despite their decision, and looked at all the evidence I provided - actually seeking reasons to take my case. She provided actual empathy, as well as information where I can seek out a lawyer who will more likely help me, as her partner was clearly not interested. The one star goes to her, and their lovely receptionist. I don't recommend consulting with Farahani unless you're looking for a typical sleazy, greedy lawyer. My search for representation continues.

Frances Campbell is a stellar attorney with an impressive understanding of Landlord-Tenant law. If you are looking for a detail-oriented and attentive attorney who knows what she is doing, this is the right firm for you.

The moment I entered the office, I knew this was a mistake. Mr. Farahani reacted adversely, mainly because I knew more about how to address my issue than he did. In other words, I was smarter than he was, and little did he know I was interviewing him rather than he and his partner interviewing me. However, I think he was in charge and was trying to impress both me and Ms. Campbell with his ridiculous take on how to solve this problem. The good news: He gave me back my consult fee and I did not walk out of that office, I ran. If I could give them no stars, I would go for it!

I went to them with concerns about the mobile home park threatening to take me to court. I was assured by the both of them that it was too soon to bring them on, but when I did get a court date they would be there for me. I was foolish to believe them. I did get served court paper and could not get them to return my phone calls, by the time they did they told me it was too late to help me. I still don't have an attorney and am on my own.

This review is for both Ms. Campbell and Mr. Farahani as I met with both of them. This was actually my second time seeking help from them. First was back in 2018, I paid the $175 consultation fee for a short meeting and I feel like I received sufficiently satisfactory consultation. I once again had a similar problem with my landlord so I made an appointment and paid the consultation fee again to meet with them. Both of them were nice enough, listened to my situation, and told me about the new state-wide rent control law that will positively affect my situation effective January 1, 2020. I was of course pleasantly surprised to learn about a new law that was enacted that was going to help my family out. But I noticed an obvious problem with the legal advice I received once I returned home and browsed the web about the new state-wide rent control law - there is a clear exception under the new law for mom-and-pop properties including condo units owned by individuals.

So I did what most people would've done in the situation and sent an email to both attorneys asking them to confirm whether the exception applied to my case. I received no response. So I called the office and was informed by the receptionist to send an email to the attorneys or alternatively pay another $175 consultation fee to see them in person. So I sent a follow up email. No response. It has now been 2 weeks since my meeting with the attorneys and I still have no answer. Given that my follow up question was directly related to the advice given to me by the attorneys, I feel like the attorneys had professional responsibility to clear up the confusion. In fact, I feel like they've committed malpractice by telling me about a law without asking me a single question to find out whether my situation would fall under a very clear exception. Both attorneys reviewed a copy of the move out notice and my lease, which clearly had a unit number on the premise section. Yes, someone can easily assume that a unit number indicates that I live in an apartment building, and thus does not fall under the exception. But if you are attorneys who represent yourselves as tenant attorneys, how do you not ask whether you live in a condo unit? Again, I met with both attorneys who are named partners of the firm.

I still don't know for a fact how the new rent control law applies to my case; so I have made two FREE consultations with other law firms to get more information. Save your money and find another law firm. Not only would you waste money but you will receive bad legal advice. If I confirm that I've received sub-standard legal advice from this firm, I will be filing a complaint with the California state bar about this matter against both attorneys.

I was very grateful for the expert advice. Mr. Farahani is apparently very skilled in contract law, direct, and together they pointed out that the landlord was in breach of my contract. I appreciated Ms. Campbell's review of my portfolio, and their review of my lease documents and photos. The graciousness of Ms. Campbell was most appreciated, as well her ability to guide me as to how to fill out the Department of Fair Employment & Housing Intake Form to begin the formal complaint process, and to who to file it against. I very much appreciated this consultation, which went over double the scheduled time, and their generosity in refunding me the consultation fee, which I would have gladly paid for their advice. I must also comment on the kindness of their Assistant, Ms. Leslie Richardson, who from the beginning was most helpful. I only wish they could have taken the case and represented me, but it was financially unfeasible, since my case could involve thousands of dollars in expenditures and result onlly in a non-monetary award. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MEETING WITH ME.

Don't even waste your time calling. "Our next available consultation is October 18th" 18 days to a consultation is insane.

Campbell and Farahani were both extremely helpful for my issues against my landlord who was suing me for ridiculous charges. I won the case and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is seriously in a bad situation with an evil landlord.

Very rude receptionist, attorney do not accept phone consultations and not only you need to drive there, you have to pay $175 for the consultation. Ask your questions to Avvo or any other website, not worth it to waste money on this office.

Very professional! Learned you won't have a solid case based on emotional qualms, but got my money's worth following the law to the letter. Ms Campbell, while sometimes a bit brash, was a pleasure to work with. My landlord constantly tried to lie and manipulate me into various tenant pitfalls; but working with a no-nonsense lawyer kept me from screwing myself over. Avoided court and got a great settlement.. justice definitely served!
