I just had my case closed last week with plead guilty to a misdemeanor of child abuse plus probation, fine, community labor classes.... I should have requested a public defender to represent me instead of Max Gorby. I couldn't imagine anyone would come up with a worse outcome than he did. He only behaved professionally in the first time meeting of free consultation in which he convinced me that he would fight hard for me and win the case with big confidence. Once the contract was signed and attorney fee was paid, things immediately changed. He didn't spend time studying my case. He was two hours late and totally unprepared when we went to the court for the first time. He didn't remember any details of my case that we had been discussing in past two months. My side story was not heard by the DA until 3.5 months after the case was filed and it was per my strong push again and again. He never initiated actions and didn't tell his plan and strategy (he might not have one at all). Most of the time, I had to be the initiator and secretary. I even had to read the court documents and highlighted key points for him to read. I prepared the notes and evidences for him to talk with DA. He didn't even tell the deal he was negotiating with DA so its a shock to me when I knew the settlement deal from DA. He didn't respond my phone call or messages even he promised he would. He let me understand why attorney has extremely bad reputation only next to car dealer.

A few months back, I got taken to jail for my 1st DUI and I was flipping out. I thought for sure I was going to jail. The cop never told me what I blew but took me to jail anyways. I was in there for 6 hours but they finally let me go.
