Really honest lawyer.

Robert is the most professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and genuine attorney I have ever dealt with. He clearly is extremely astute on all immigration topics, and his results speak for themselves. Robert has taught my wife and I all of the steps to complete the process, and has been patient and helpful along the way. He is very personable and great to be around. He even attends the interviews with us and did a great job of organizing our filings and communicating with us exactly what we needed to do. I would recommend him to anyone who has immigration needs as I doubt many could be better than this.

Very unprofessional I went to his office For a consultation and he seemed extremely uninterested with what I was talking about. I went there because I was disatisfied with the Attorney I had at the time and wanted to hire him for the final process for my interview in CDJ, I tried to explain my situation And he juSt went on to say that if I had an Attorney why was I sitting there consulting with him. And that I was being ungrateful with my attorney and that I should be thanking him because he atleast got my waiver Approved. Yet the reason why I was looking to hire another attorney was because my other attorney stopped working my case And was negligent enough that the NVC requested documentation from them since February of this year And after many calls and emails as to why I haven’t gotten an interview date all they said was that I just had to wait and it was bad enough that I had a voluntary departure date for 8/2/18 so when I calledz the NVC months later i find out they have been requesting documents for months. Anyways I went in there feeling depressed anxious worried and everything you can think of hoping Robert would atleast act like he was interested in helping me but all he did was continue to make me feel like I wAs makinkg a big deal with my prior Attorney And thats were I knew he was not going to be the attorney I was looking for thank God I found one that has has been helpful every step of the way

The only reason why I even went to him was because an aunt of mine recommended him to us. We handed him the money and he proceeded to count it in-front of us and then told us “go visit my secretary she’ll handle the rest” WHILE waving us away. Basically Itzel his secretary did almost EVERYTHING. I was absolutely dissatisfied with him. The day we needed him the most, since we had an interview with an immigration officer he couldn’t go because he had planned his VACATION so “unfortunately” he want going to make it. He at least was decent enough to have sent another lawyer buddy of his to appear with us to the interview. PLEASE do your research before contacting anyone for something as important as immigration, this person might not be your best choice.

Only reason I gave this lawyer a chance was from all the great reviews but now I know it could all be lies. I visited Robert for a consultation and I felt as if he didn’t want to here me out or be there. Not very helpful. But I could say that his whole attitude changed when I said I was there to hire him. Not no more. Thx for your time.

Paid for a consultation, and it definitely wasn't worth it. To start off the first thing he asked was how did I find him. I told him through good reviews and since he knew that, I'm guessing he used it to an advantage because he knew I didnt know about his fees and prices. Which was overpriced by the way compared to other lawyers I've talked to afterwards. He didn't bother asking much questions or giving us options or tips about what we could/should do. Instead, he just sat there knowing my family is going through a tough time, and waited for US to ask all the questions as to what HE can do. If I wouldn't have asked anything, he wouldn't have said anything. It was obvious I didn't know much about what to say or ask regarding all this legal stuff so that's why I paid to talk to this lawyer hoping he'd guide us and get us to the right direction. But this was not the case.

Very knowledgeable man and knows what he’s doing! He made mine and my husband process go by like it was nothing. We had multiple interviews with him and made sure we had everything alined for our big day. The best part about all this was that he knew pretty much everyone we ran into, so to know he’s done this multiple times definitely took some stress off and put more confidence into our interview. Although my case has taken a very long time, due to cases being different I can say Robert knows the law pretty well. I am very pleased to have chosen this attorney, his staff is bi-lingual and are very helpful. They do need sometimes a few more assistants I feel, just because seems like they are always very busy but even than I would chose him again for any immigration services, they are always flexible and willing to explain the processes, at a very affordable rate unlike other attorneys who overcharge for the same work. When other top name immigration attorneys in Phoenix refused to take our case and gave us absolutely no hope, Mr. Coughlin accepted and we had a positive outcome. Very satisfied with his services.

Our experience with Robert has been excellent. Even though we had unexpected issues with our case Robert took care of it in a professional manner. He prepared us well for the interview and answered all of our questions. I could have gone with one of the big name attorneys in town but not gotten the same kind of personal care we go with Coughlon Law office.

looking for an immigration attorney is hard most promise alot or nothing not at all or you talk to a secretary who determines if your case is good enough to be taken.... our experience with attorney Robert Coughlon was on and beyond from the first meeting, we were told exactly what to expect and how long the journey could be everything upfront no surprises! he pretty much held our hand through the process and i can say that where "others attorneys" would give us no hope or the time of day Robert was there guiding us .....thank you Robert!!

If zero stars were possible it wouldn't be low enough to rate the quality of this immigration office.

My wife and I went to Mr. Coughlon to file her N400 due to my working a lot. We met with him in person and explained that we needed him to file because I worked out of state and we would be moving out of state. He assured us that his office would take care of everything and that we didn't have anything to worry about.

Well we found out through our own calls to USCIS, after 3 months of waiting on nothing, that he had no clue what he was talking about. After moving out of state, which we were told was "no problem" we found out her case would be delayed by 90 days due to having to obtain residence in a new state.

After hearing this information I had to make multiple calls to the office before they were returned only to have Robert state that he would look into it and try to get it fixed. Needless to say he promised a return call with the information he found out and it never came. I once again had to call his office only to find out that USCIS was correct and he gave terrible advice.

Word of advice. If you need immigration work done just call USCIS yourself and save a ton of money. They would be happy to tell you how long your case is going to take and what forms are needed free of charge. Also Robert will not communicate difficulties. I had to call USCIS myself 5 times before I found out what was wrong and he acted as if it was really no big deal.

HORRIBLE office. Please save yourself time and money and do it yourself or find a knowledgeable attorney.

From the first time I met Robert Coughlon Jr., myself and my family trusted him. We had consulted with 3 other lawyers before him and we never went through with the immigration process, due to the lack of trust we felt for them and their sheer greediness. Robert, from the start was open, approachable and convinced with his knowledge, professionalism, honesty and his plan of action to help our family. He accompanied us to immigration interviews and guided us all the way until we got our papers. He had described the immigration process beforehand and this is how it worked out, exactly!
