My boyfriend has a case here. I have a lot of family and friends that go to this office for imigration because the lady lawyer is very good. I saw first hand how the staff is. There is a older lady there, who did my boyfriends work permits. She is rude unhelpful and a thief. She charges extra money to the spanish people. I know this because she started charging some people more money for work permits. She tried to charge my boyfriend 250 because she said the prices went up. I spoke to some people who go there and some say they did pay that others say they paid the normal price of 150. My boyfriend is very nice and he was going to pay but i decided to go to the office and pretend i was a new person when my boyfriend went for his new permit. I spoke to a very nice spanish guy with glasses who told me the prices for permits were 150. and I ask if they had new prices and he said no, it has always been 150. I looked at my boyfriend who asked the guy more questions. The older lady told my boyfriend he was not allowed to have a license in virginia because of his work permit and he had to pay someone in maryland for a license and she knew someone if he wanted to do it. it was very expansive so my boyfriend didnt do it. We asked the guy the same question and he helped my boyfriend my printing papers the dmv needs to give you a license. he told my boyfriend what to take, he gave us things from his file and he has now a license here in virginia. he help us a lot.
If you go here do not go with the older spanish lady. she charges extra money for things, she has two names she uses in translations but its her. she pretends to be 2 people. she is a criminel breaking laws. and she signed my boyfriends work permit aplication without his permision. His workpermit aplication was rejected 2 times, and 2 times the lady wanted my boyfriend to pay. it was not his fault! do not go here for permits the lady is not honest and shes a lier. the lady lawyer is very good, the spanish guy with glasses is helping. my boyfriend is a very nice person he will never say this because he just want help, but i will help you not get your money stolen by her. do not get work permit here. stay away!

If I could put 0 stars I would. These people steal your money and care more about that than anything else. Their staff is not helpful, especially the main attorneys. They do not care about you unless you pay them loads of money and even then they ask for more. For notarizing DO NOT GO TO THEM! They will charge you $20 per page when you can go to UPS and have it done for $5.

They also do not pay their employees enough, $9 for a receptionist is ridiculous. They mistreat and harass their employees to do as they please. The worst law office my family has ever come across. A complete embarrassment and waste of attorneys. You should all be reported to the bar considering you sign for your clients and photocopy ID's and signatures.

Thoronka Law Office offers wonderful support to their clients. It’s not just one lawyer or staff member but everyone who works there makes you feel at home. They are patient and willing to explain one concept in every possible way until you have a good understanding. I speak about similar situations with friends who are at different law offices and they tell me they need to switch law offices. Entering the doors of Thoronka Law Office won’t ever be a mistake for you!

Terrible experience with them. The case was not handled by Mrs. Thoronka, instead it was delegated to her newest attorney, Sara Shariff, Esq. Sara had no idea what she was doing in court. The judge told her that she could not take an incomplete application and was generous enough to grant more time for her to submit the for. In addition to her lack of interest in the case, her physical appearance was very unprofessional. She appeared in front of the judge with a hole, the size of a nickel, in each shoe.

After the court, we did a couple of follow-up calls and asked her what was the status on getting a completed form to the judge. Despite the attempts to get her on the phone, she never ever returned the calls. It was not until a complaint was sent directly to Mrs. Thoronka that we heard from her. At that point she responded that the form had a deadline of September, therefore, she was in no rush to submit it.

When I contacted Mrs. Thoronka to talk further about the incident, she never replied or called. She stated that via e-mail that her son was in the hospital and that she would eventually return my call. Two weeks later, she send another e-mail stating that she was on vacation and that she was up to her elbows with work. Since I never got a call back and considering the amount of money I had already paid her, I asked her for a refund on the case. She claimed that of that 3K given to her back in Feb of this year, she had nothing because it was all used in court. Meaning it was all misused with Sara, as she did nothing on the case.

This is just part of my experience with this firm. Before signing anything, consider a firm that shows interest in your case and not only would want your money. i will file a formal complaint with the bar and BBB.

First of all, let me start of and Thank this law affirm for helping me filled for my mom. Mrs. Patricia was the lawyer who handled our case. She was loving, caring, clear and understanding. She went through everything with me and my mom, explained every out come. Money is not really a problem when it comes to filling because they sit down with you and go thru the payment process.
