Initially, I didn’t trust her. She was court appointed and I couldn’t fathom how someone could have my child’s best interest if they did not know me. I was nervous at best.
I scheduled an appointment to meet with Molly. My first impression was that she was very kind and that she was very flexible. She made sure that I could meet with her. I was not expecting that. I came into her office which is located in a residential neighborhood (easy to pass up if you’re a new client.) She waited outside for me to park, she offered water, and even gifted my toddler some candy and a little toy to bring to her after our meeting. Her professionalism, great customer service, and over all consultation exceeded my expectations.
During our meeting, Molly made sure that I was comfortable. She allowed me to vent, express my concerns, and she even finished my sentences at times! She understood my perspective and I appreciated that. It was great because by other professionals in the court room, I felt unheard, misunderstood, and bullied into accepting somethings.
Molly was different. She even shed a little light on her background. Surprisingly we had a few things in common and I could relate to her. Not only did she offer advice but she offered comfort in my moment of pure sadness and vulnerability. (I don’t forget things like that)
The things I requested, Molly did her best to accommodate me. The things that I did not like, she did not force down my throat. If you’ve been involved in Family Court for more than a year, you will more than likely experience other professionals making you feel little and making you accept things that you don’t to. Molly did the exact opposite. She made her recommendation, told me why, and allowed me time to think about it. She was not on a power trip! And boy was I grateful. She showed me she was human...like me. And in trying times like this, you need a professional to show compassion. She did just that.
Whomever is reading this and is still undecided. I’ll give you a list on why, she is the best contender.
1. Customer service is beyond great!
2. Easy to contact! (She allows you to text her!)
3. Payment plan/Online payment
4. Compassionate
5. Professional
6. Takes the time out to KNOW you and what your needs are
7. Truly has your child’s best interest at heart
I’m very truthful when it comes to reviews whether it’s good or bad. I think people deserve to know who they’re retaining and people should also know how they’ll be treated. Going through child custody is emotionally trying, it’s emotionally draining, and sometimes unfair. You will need an educated partner who cares for you more than your money.
Again, I did not choose Molly. She was court appointed and I did not expect much from her at all. In fact, I expected the worst. (So much for my optimism) I felt everyone was against me. Molly proved me wrong and I hate how I initially judged her. She embraced with warm hugs and solid advice and that’s hard to forget.
I can’t stress this enough...this woman CARES. She’s passionate about what she does and I sure hope she’s appreciated.
Thank you Molly for being the voice of reason during my case. I hope I don’t see you again in times like this. But I hope to you again in a more positive moment. When I become an attorney, I hope I can make an impact on people the way you did on me.
Best regards,
Ebony Brown
She is a true blessing for her clients when they're going through really tough stuff. She's certainly found her calling.
