I wasn't going to shed light on this situation because honestly I was over it. If i could give Molly Murphy no stars to say this I would have. All Molly is concerned about is the money. She did not care about my kids at all. Never even met one. She was on my side until i refused to pay her. My kids were in a sad situation living with their father in a 1 bedroom, roach infested apartment. I moved from Illinois to find a lawyer because the ones back home were too expensive. Initially, they were more expensive here, so I had to walk into my trial blind. I did not want Molly, but my kids father was adamant to have the kids and wouldn't cooperate with leaving the children with me. I had been abused by my kids father and I let this be known that I did not want my children with him for this very specific reason. Molly agreed until, I refused to pay her. I had asked her more than once to initiate a home visit on my children because I didn't feel they were safe. They were calling me crying, saying their father was abusing them and the roaches were getting into their food. Molly did not conduct 1 home visit. She in turn sided with my kids father because his mother was able to help pay her. She sided with an abuser to take custody of 3 children. I was distraught so you are damn right Molly murphy, I took matters into my own hands. The courts didn't help and neither did you. Molly Murphy is a money hungry attorney who shouldn't be able to guard the decisions of any ones children. I will be filing more complaints against Molly and seeking justice against her office as well. Right now my kids father is under investigation for child abuse and neglect, so thank you Molly and the civil courts building of st. Louis,. You made sure to really do your job with the least of your abilities and i hope you pay for it.

Molly was the Guardian Ad Litem for my daughter. She was not my attorney. I had retained someone else prior to meeting her. I was on edge because I heard so many bad reviews on Guardians Ad Litems as a group. Not Molly.

Initially, I didn’t trust her. She was court appointed and I couldn’t fathom how someone could have my child’s best interest if they did not know me. I was nervous at best.

I scheduled an appointment to meet with Molly. My first impression was that she was very kind and that she was very flexible. She made sure that I could meet with her. I was not expecting that. I came into her office which is located in a residential neighborhood (easy to pass up if you’re a new client.) She waited outside for me to park, she offered water, and even gifted my toddler some candy and a little toy to bring to her after our meeting. Her professionalism, great customer service, and over all consultation exceeded my expectations.

During our meeting, Molly made sure that I was comfortable. She allowed me to vent, express my concerns, and she even finished my sentences at times! She understood my perspective and I appreciated that. It was great because by other professionals in the court room, I felt unheard, misunderstood, and bullied into accepting somethings.

Molly was different. She even shed a little light on her background. Surprisingly we had a few things in common and I could relate to her. Not only did she offer advice but she offered comfort in my moment of pure sadness and vulnerability. (I don’t forget things like that)

The things I requested, Molly did her best to accommodate me. The things that I did not like, she did not force down my throat. If you’ve been involved in Family Court for more than a year, you will more than likely experience other professionals making you feel little and making you accept things that you don’t to. Molly did the exact opposite. She made her recommendation, told me why, and allowed me time to think about it. She was not on a power trip! And boy was I grateful. She showed me she was human...like me. And in trying times like this, you need a professional to show compassion. She did just that.

Whomever is reading this and is still undecided. I’ll give you a list on why, she is the best contender.

1. Customer service is beyond great!
2. Easy to contact! (She allows you to text her!)
3. Payment plan/Online payment
4. Compassionate
5. Professional
6. Takes the time out to KNOW you and what your needs are
7. Truly has your child’s best interest at heart

I’m very truthful when it comes to reviews whether it’s good or bad. I think people deserve to know who they’re retaining and people should also know how they’ll be treated. Going through child custody is emotionally trying, it’s emotionally draining, and sometimes unfair. You will need an educated partner who cares for you more than your money.

Again, I did not choose Molly. She was court appointed and I did not expect much from her at all. In fact, I expected the worst. (So much for my optimism) I felt everyone was against me. Molly proved me wrong and I hate how I initially judged her. She embraced with warm hugs and solid advice and that’s hard to forget.

I can’t stress this enough...this woman CARES. She’s passionate about what she does and I sure hope she’s appreciated.

Thank you Molly for being the voice of reason during my case. I hope I don’t see you again in times like this. But I hope to you again in a more positive moment. When I become an attorney, I hope I can make an impact on people the way you did on me.

Best regards,

Ebony Brown

Molly is amazing. Her work deals with such stressful and personal things, and she handles everything with decorum and composure, which helps keep things moving forward in a constructive and positive way. I was so impressed with her interactions with other legal professionals and how her relationships with them helped us come to a favorable conclusion for all parties.

She is a true blessing for her clients when they're going through really tough stuff. She's certainly found her calling.

I used Ms. Murphy's legal service after being referred. She was the most professional counselor I have ever met. She was timely with all correspondence and was very good at explaining complex issues with me. She also was very compassionate which is something lacking in the industry. Her rates were great and I am very please with the outcome of the matter in which she help me with.

I was recommended by a friend to Ms. Murphy, and was desperate to find someone I could trust to help me with my divorce. I was worried about losing custody, as I had always been the stay at home mom without full time employment. Ms. Murphy was incredibly kind, understanding, and went out of her way to reassure me and keep me well informed at every step of the process. When you are going through such a traumatic time it is so important to have someone that understands, that you can confide in, and that you know has your back. Margaret went above and beyond to help me reach the best settlement possible, and her rates are incredibly reasonable- especially when you are getting such a talented and hard-working attorney to represent you! I have already recommended her to others, and highly recommend anyone that is dealing with a family law issue!
