Very unresponsive. When you call the office you only get someones voicemail and when you leave a message it takes weeks to get a call back. Their lack of response caused my family member 10's of thousands of dollars. We have a family member in a facility and there is another family in the same facility that is also having the same issues with this firm. We allowed the facility to take over and this whole thing was completed in 2 weeks time. We had worked with this firm for over 5 months and nothing was ever accomplished. Take your business elsewhere unless you have plenty of time and thousands and thousands of dollars to waste. The facility we have our family member in has also stated that they will no longer refer any of their families to this firm.

We had to put my in-laws in a long term care facility in 2016. We knew after two years we going to need medicaid, and someone recommended The Elder & Estate Law Firm. I really didn’t think I would need them so soon, since I knew we had at least two years before we would run out of money, since we were private paying for 2 in a home. But, I am so glad I met with Mark, and his team the month of my in-laws being admitted. Mark gave us his fee, there were no hidden charges. Mark & his team prepared us for medicaid. They did all the paperwork, that I would not want to deal with. I did not realize the long process medicaid is, and everything you have to do. Yes, we did have to get papers that Mark and his team needed from my in-laws accounts, and others papers they needed, but once you get them what they need, they do the rest. You just sit back and let them deal with Medicaid, Social Security, and whatever else “uncle sam” makes you deal with. I am so glad that we hired Mark and his team from day one. We now pay them a minimal yearly retainer fee, for the yearly renewal for medicaid, and other problems we may have. I know I can pick up the phone, and talk to Shelly about any problem that may have come up, and know I won’t get a lawyer bill in the mail like most lawyers do for just a phone call. Thank you Mark and your team. You all are the best:)

They do not know how to communicate with there customers was just try to get guardianship of my mother who suffered from dementia. Spend thousands of dollars with the firm and received nothing in return. They took so long in filling and didn't inform me of a mandatory court appearance my Mother died before I was able to even be heard in court.
Don't waste your money here they have no business practicing law.

Mark Easley and his staff have provided me with thorough and compassionate support at a reasonable price since 2014. My Dad got sick very quickly and unfortunately passed away a few months after he was diagnosed with Cancer. I needed and Elder care lawyer to expedite taking care of me, my family and my Mom. He gave me good advice. He and his staff helped me prepare for the worst case scenario with my Dad and Mom, getting Wills, POA documents and much more in a timely manner. I appreciate all their support when I needed it the most.

I recently had the opportunity to work with this law firm. Mark and Elaine were so approachable which is something I can appreciate in attorneys. The office staff that I interacted with were helpful and very kind. Really glad I got a chance to know them. If you see them, please let them know I said "thanks!"

All my needs for planning the handling of my estate for the future were met in a professional and courteous manner. I would definitely and have recommended this firm to others.

Mark Easley only caused frustration for my family. My grandma had been a client long before her death with the hopes of making everything easier for us when she passed. Despite numerous appointments with him before she dies, he failed to properly advise us of what to have in place before her death. After her death, he was unable to provide any help or advice at all. He said he would get the paperwork in order and get back to us. Over a month later, we still hadn't heard back from him, despite messages left at his office. My grandma's accounts started locking up and checks started bouncing, we were unable to transfer her car over and a host of other issues were occuring and calls to his office were met with a receptionist who just kept telling us that they were busy. We made an appointment but when we showed up for the meeting, we were told he was already in another conference and we were welcome to wait. After voicing our concern, we were told that maybe we should just get another attorney. After all of the money this attorney has been paid, for years and in the wake of all of these issues because of his lack of planning, now we have to try and find a attorney who can handle all of this after the fact. Do yourself a favor and seek out a professional attorney who can actually help you rather than leave you hanging at a difficult time.
