I became disabled in 2015 for “severe” PTSD, depression and anxiety. Both my psychiatrist and my psychologist said mine is severe. I have the most debilitating panic attacks and rarely leave my bed. I haven’t been able to go to work or school in over 3 years. I finally decided to think about filing for disability in July 2018. My mom saw Hunter & Everage in a commercial and I called them. I talked to the secretary first and explained my condition and the details. Then Mr. Hunter called me back. The first question he asked me was “Have you ever been in jail?” I said “No, never.” He then said “See, that’s our first problem; real mentally ill people have trouble staying OUT of jail.” He then asked me “Did your psychiatrist put any restrictions on your license?” I said no. He then said “That’s our second problem.” He went on to say that I would get denied and I said “I’m not going to get denied” because I know how bad my condition is. He then said ok goodbye and hung up before I even got a chance to say bye. I then applied for disability in September 2018 with NO attorney, and got approved on December 6, 2018. Then didn’t even deny me once! Please do not choose this law firm. For anyone out there in a similar situation, please go to the Social Security office and they will even help you do the application; you don’t have to do it by yourself. But if you do need an attorney, it is very important that you don’t just take one persons opinion. I would never recommend this law firm.
