My story with this law firm is a living testimony!. Before finding this law firm I was a student who thought I had no voice who was at a point of giving up on my own education , being another student who was getting thrown in the trash being looked at and told I most likely wouldn't get anywhere in life . But God made a way for me because he knows my future and giving up wasn't the way he wanted me to go. God placed Attorney Amanda O'Neal whom I have meet in the year of 2015! In my life who had Stuck with me though all the long dark roads of my struggles in high school from 1 school to another. Amanda made my voice heard , she stood for my mother and I when we thought we couldn't stand anymore , she was always there for my mother through her tears and struggles to understand why things where happening . Amanda has stuck with us though the year of 2015 to 2017 the year I have became a High School graduate ! She has became apart of our life's and apart of my success story . I have to say with no doubt Amanda O'Neal was a blessing to our family with out her and Tollner Law Firm ! I have no idea if I would have made it but I did ! I will be singing glorious praises of David Tollner. Amanda was also very helpful when David wasn't around. Sometimes God provide us angels to guide us in our most painful time of need and I truly believe David was that angel.
We have been struggling for the past 3 years following the recommendations of the school district. She has been to 3 different therapeutic day schools yet the progress was very slow. Our lives were becoming so stressful and felt couldn't cope anymore or help our daughter.
We needed external help where our daughter could be in a structured environment where trained and compassionate individuals were there to help her 24/7.
Our 15 yr old daughter was an honor roll student but last 3 years due to her excessive absences, her GPA was only 1.5 last year for yr 9. Her GPA is 4.0 now since she was admitted into the RTC.
He was referred to us by our family therapist. I had tried to research and look into RTCs but was totally overwhelmed after many hours and yet unsure which would be a good fit for our daughter.
David is a very skilled SE attorney but what impressed me most was his compassion, understanding, kindness and patience. He would patiently explained things to me again even when I was unsure. He was very responsive at all times and guided us on this stressful journey.
When we met him for the first time, he patiently explained the strategy, how the system works and what needed to happen to go forward. I felt comfortable to call or email him anytime and he would respond very quickly to calm our fears or answer any questions we have.
He even coached us WHAT and WHEN we needed to say whilst in the IEP meetings. He helped us get our daughter into one of the best RTC, in my opinion.
Yes we paid David for his services but it was totally worth it as it resulted in the school district totally funding our daughter's placement which is sooooooo much more.
Our daughter is happy with the placement but naturally is overwhelmed, homesick, misses us and home but I feel she's in a place where she will have lots of people who can help her 24/7.
