My case manager was Jane; she said she would handle everything and appeared to be genuinely interested in aiding us in our case. I experienced the most unimaginable pain from this accident and anytime I called her to ask questions, she would just tell me to talk to my doctor, I asked her if she knew any other doctors when my situation wasn't improving, she said no, and even gave me an attitude about my doctors bill being so high. I had to change attorneys; the new attorneys were more helpful in explaining the process and were much more detailed oriented. They even sent me to see a surgeon for further evaluation; unfortunately the coverage would not cover the expenses. I ended up getting screwed over in this case because everybody involved in the accident had the minimal insurance coverage , and you can't pursue a civil case against a youngster cause he'll just claim bankruptcy. My suggestion, find out everybody's insurance coverage at the time of the accident,; to see if an attorney would even be helpful, otherwise, they'll just get a piece of the pie without being able to help you much. Most importantly, get yourself good coverage, because if somebody that is broke hits you you, you are screwed.
