They advertise trademark registration etc and taking care of everything. Months later I get notice from the USPTO trademark office they need more information and then I sent to Legalzoom to complete. Legalzoom refuses to complete the work. They are rip off and scam and only want your money. They then ask for more money from attorneys. I advise NEVER do business with them!!!

There is a lot I don't know, but learning a long the way. Business package gives you options that you may not have know you needed.

They are charging me $234 extra a month without my concent previous year it was 165 now they made me pay $399!!! ABUSIVE

Terrible Experience. Easy to use website and ultimately makes you believe that because it's so easy, you don't need an attorney. They will continually hound you to buy other services or fail to cancel memberships you don't want. Many hidden fees after sign up. VERY RUDE customer service when you call to rectify issues. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Stay away!

WORSE COMPANY IN THE WORLD. They will never get anything correct. They do not make notes on the account. They will charge you when they said they fixed the issues that they caused. Oh the kicker? When you ask to speak to a manager 3-5 business days to get back to you. Let's hope they actually record all their calls because this is insane.

I used LegalZoom to help complete the processing of two DBA's. The initial online process to submit an application was good. However, it went down hill from there. It was suppose to take only 7-10 business days to complete step 3 of the process after LegalZoom received the notarized forms to send to the county. I would follow up weekly to get an update and I would always get the same generic response (while being put on hold for at least a total hold time of 15-20 minutes) that my forms are waiting for return approval from the county clerk's office. Three weeks gone by and I was finally able to have my issue escalated and researched. It turns out my forms were sent to the wrong place and then it was also missing a requirement (certificate of good standing) that LegalZoom should have known about. Now, my original notarized forms were lost by LegalZoom and they are having me resend back to them. I started the process in mid July and here were are in late September trying to get back to step 3. The "customer service" team never has answers, they always put you on hold for "3 to 5" minutes", I can never get anyone that actually looks at these forms to speak to, and I have asked for a manager to reach back to me and they never have. I would have moved forward with somewhere else, but I don't want to loose out on the money and time I have already spent with LegalZoom. I wish there was a way to give negative star reviews. They are at least a -10

Terrible service, never answer phone, never completed paperwork. Finally fired them. They were good enough to refund my money but then charged me a year later.

Zero customer support. Use Rocket Lawyer or another service instead (I'm not affiliated with them but they can't be worse)

Absolutely do not use LegalZoom. Lots of hidden/additional fees once you sign up (I created an LLC a while back), so there were really almost no savings than finding an actual attorney. Also, I found out they've been auto-renewal services for a few years now without my knowledge, and I've closed my LLC a while back. When I reached out to customer support because they don't allow you to edit your subscription service on the website yourself, they gave me a totally unhelpful and irrelevant response about dissolve my business myself. No mention of the auto-renewal charges or my request to cancel my subscription. Are you just going to continue charging me each year silently??

The customer service representatives and business personal agents or whatever the name they use for themselves are down right manipulate aggressive and ridiculous. Don't ever use this company unless you want unauthorized transactions made to your bank account and then have their agents try and argue with you on the phone about it while making threats to you

This is the worse customer service ever, I ordered a express gold package LLC, it’s been a month and a half still didn’t received my package even if the llc was created already, they charged me 960$ of services I didn’t requested, and I’m trying for 5 days to get a hold of the subscription department for them to reimburse once pass the first contact that put me on hold every time I get systematically disconnected or on a empty line!!!
For now on I will definitely use lawyers they won’t loose my time!!!!!

My LLC has been dissolved and they keep charging me a fee every year as “registered agent” fee. I asked them them remove themselves as registered agent and the are not “able” to do so. Kept charging for many years.

Not very capable to help with LLC and very quick to charge for everything that they can (which is almost like legal way money extorting business).

If you need to do an LLC, please try yourself using state website (which LegalZoom kept mentioning to me) instead of legal zoom. You will do just fine yourself.

I would agree with the other users. Their legal documents are not current, so be aware of what you are getting into. There are much better vendors out there.

Do NOT buy any services from Legal Zoom. Please read all the reviews. I really regret it now.
I tried to set up a company via Legal Zoom. They incorporated the company in April 2019 on the State Level. Now four months later, they still cannot get the EIN from IRS. I asked them why, they said IRS did not give the EIN and they cannot ask before the IRS actually rejects the application.
It costed more than $600 to incorporate the company and the license is good till April 2020 (bc its good for 12 months only.) They have already wasted four months. Without EIN, the company cannot accept purchase orders nor issue any W-2..... Yet, they said there is nothing they could do.

Horrible. Arguably the single worst, most frustrating experience I've had since starting my business. Beware, the packages they offer for licenses and other services do not actually provide you with any licensees or services, they simply give you a referral to ANOTHER company who you have to pay ANOTHER fee to get licenses from. If you call to complain, they'll tell you that you didn't read the fine print, and totally ignore the deceptive marketing and product descriptions.

Avoid at all costs.

I would absolutely not recommend. I have an extremely straight-forward will and living will request. After you pay, create an account, and login, the website slows down to the point that the browser thinks the page is unresponsive. I have 5G gigabit internet and it takes over 2 minutes per page to load. Further, I wanted to specify an additional guardian in the will (in addition to the single alternate they permit) and this requires a call to customer service because the general template doesn’t provide for this option. I have called six times today over the span of three hours. The auto-dialer says I will receive a callback in “greater than 20 minutes”. After the call finally comes through and I answer, they immediately hang up. On the sixth call, I finally spoke to a real human and proceeded to be transferred three times. The quality of the online account speed and the customer support quality are horrific. I will never use LegalZoom services again and I recommend that you do not either.

Edit: After speaking with customer service, the representative confirmed that he would have the updated document posted to my account in 3-4 business days. I called back 7 business days later and nothing had been started. They ultimately sent me the raw file to make the modifications. Essentially, I paid LegalZoom to help with estate planning and ended up writing the documents myself. Really unacceptable practices and customer experience. I reaffirm my rating of 1/5 stars (I would issue zero stars if possible).

First, creating an LLC took 4 week’s to process. Much longer than their promised delivery time. But that’s just the start.

A year later I am in the process of dissolving my LLC. So i checked Legalzoom and noticed i was on their registered agent services was on auto renew. You can’t cancel it on your own, you have to call them. So I called their customer “care” line.

Waited 25min for the rep to tell me I’m not authorized (I registered under my partner’s Email and name). I told him I was gonna just authorize myself and he said I had to make another call.

It took literally 1 minute to add myself as an authorized contact. I called and got on in 15 minutes and finally got them to cancel auto-renew.

But here’s the kicker - even after turning off auto renew they said they’d still “charge” us until they got proof that we are dissolved from the state. This company does not care about their customers at all.

This doesn’t include the times I tried calling for legal + tax issues, waited 30+ mins and they ended up being useless, telling me to purchase another one of their plans.

It’s 2019. LegalZoom needs to up their service or die because of reviews like this.

The service works for setting up a new corporation... but get ready to be bombarded with phone calls, spam messages, unauthorized charges/orders, hidden fees, and just headaches. Attaching image of charges to date... all I wanted from the beginning is a simple LLC and EIN number. Can't imagine I'm the only one feeling the pain... they should audit their customer journey.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. Legal Zoom is slow, incompetent and overpriced. I bought an expedited package that was supposed to be finished by the first week of November. It was delayed but they promised it would be finished by the end of Nov. Someone at Legal Zoom forgot to submit it for processing and in December it was just sitting in a queue. Then it was promised by the end of 2017 but it didn't happen. It's finally getting finished. The communication is abysmal. They charged me to fill out an EDD form, filled it out wrong, had me fix it and then told me I have to file it, and that I could even do it over the phone with EDD. Use an attorney instead. The price is comparable and it will actually get done. Or do it yourself. Legal Zoom is a joke and I wouldn't trust them with anything business related.

In the process of cancelling my services with them and getting refunded. Do not trust them one bit, and the customer reps beat around the bush with answering, I wish I could give zero stars
