Absolutely amazing services. During one of the hardest times of my life, my attorney was there for me with expert advice. Not just legal advice, he was there and talked with me on a moral and emotional level. I was able to get through what I thought was going to be one of the worst experiences of my life and things have been getting better in my childrens life because of the help this firm offered. Joi Brown is a worthless attorney who is too spineless to use court documents, children written testimony, police reports, and school records against a guardian ad litem by saying she "doesn't work for the children" ... You idiot the case is nothing but custody of children. They just want money but are complete idiots and don't work. Especially Joi Brown but they're all responsible. If you put them on your firm know who you hire.

I just recently closed my case and finalized my divorce. My case was complex to say the least. Nothing is ever a guarantee when it comes to family law. However, it is guaranteed that if you choose cordell and cordell and have an attorney from the virginia beach office represent you, you'll be in good hands. I worked with Erik W McCauley and I can tell you that he is the real MVP and knows family law like the back of his hand. Because of cordell and cordell and Erik, my divorce went smoothly and the outcome was better than I could've anticipated.

No communications. He was Not ready for court and love charging you for unnecessary time. Tens of MThousands of dollars later for time that was so wasted by him. absolutely the worst results. I could of done way more on my own. Never gave me any advice on what was needed to counter the other party before court. . Never ready for court but ready to charge you fees for time that was for “reviewing the files”. How many times do you need to review the same file!????

Satisfactory job, although there were times I felt that my attorney wasn't working as aggressively as he should have. Needed a bulldog but attorney just seemed to go with the flow rather than being the agressor. Outcome turned out ok, but I wonder if results could have been more in my favor had I had a more aggressive attorney. Seemed like my spouse's attorney was dictating the course and my attorney was reactive vs. proactive. Would still recommend.
