I get robbed twice no less than six months apart and then city of Chesapeake calls me a liar and says i'm making things up, publicly harasses me several times and, threatens to arrest me & shoot me. Then their city's Commonwealth lawyers show up and start harassing me too. Everyone keeps threatening to arrest me, and I'm the victim! they're absolutely insane! They say if I sue, I won't make barely any money and it doesn't matter to them how they act. They're in for a rude awakening if this is all about money to them. If they're doing it to me, they're doing it to someone else too.

I live in Illinois and sold a black powder pistol to a gentleman in Chesapeake, VA. I called the Commonwealth's Office to ascertain the legality of shipping the pistol to VA. Initially, the receptionist said it was a "civil matter" and suggested I contact an attorney. When I pointed out that a violation would be criminal, probably a felony, she then told me to hold on and asked for my name....as if anyone there would know me. Anyway, when she returned to the phone, she said the office "does not give legal advice". That's like a doctor's office saying they don't give medical advice. I sure feel sorry for anyone needing assistance from this office; they clearly have no clue, or interpersonal skills..

The receptionist has poor customer service skills. She sent me to the wrong voicemail, hung up on me and when I phoned back, placed me on speaker phone. This system is broken. What happened to due process of law and the principles on which government was built? Over this whole situation....
Nancy Parr, like the Attorney General, states publicly that protecting citizens from crime, and especially domestic violence, is one of her top priorities. However, my experience indicates that she permits her deputies to abuse prosecutorial discretion to protect violent domestic and sexual abusers. You are not safe from crime in Chesapeake. I believe that as long as Nancy Parr is in office, she will continue to permit domestic violence offenders and sexual abusers to remain unsanctioned, free on the street, able to possess firearms. The actions of her office tell me that the right of citizens to be protected from crime and have protection of the laws do not apply to everyone, and despite her public statements, that she will decide that certain people will be protected, while others will suffer domestic assaults and familial sexual abuse. Shame on Nancy Parr and her staff for their disgusting behavior and wanton corruption.
