I found them to be extremely incompetent and rude. They did closing paperwork wrong for selling my house and had to readjust everything after it was signed because they screwed up the amount to pay the realtor. Would not recommend.

Used them as closing attorneys. Everything went smoothly. Would recommend.

We used this law firm because they were recommended to us by Coastal Federal Credit Union where we have our mortgage.

Selling and buying a house can be an extremely stressful process and it helps to have a good team to support you through the process. It was important for me to write a review because many people probably don’t take the time to write a review because after closing many people want to enjoy their new home.

When we went to drop off the escrow check, the paralegal was very rude to us. (See other Google review). We hadn’t dealt with this paralegal (Paralegal A) and from previous communication and the importance of making sure the escrow check was received by 5:00 PM by the paralegal (Paralegal B) we were dealing with. At no point in our communication did Paralegal B indicate that we could leave a check with anyone else.

Paralegal A was incredibly rude to me. I was shocked that I would be treated in a manner. When she left the room I asked my husband, “Is it me or was she really rude?” He agreed with me that she was rude. My husband is the kind of guy that will tell me if I’m not being fair or in the wrong.

I’m at the age where I wasn’t going to tolerate someone treating me so poorly. I called out Paralegal A for being rude. I was angry, but I didn’t yell or scream. One of the attorney’s stood there and watched the exchange and said nothing. If it were my business, I would have come over and apologized for my employee.

I also asked her to have Paralegal B confirm with all parties (realtor, Coastal) via email that the escrow check was received.

In a follow up email, Paralegal B failed to cc everyone that escrow had been opened. She also offered a non-apology in response to Paralegal A’s rudeness. I tried to politely explain what happened but she offered again took the non-apology route and appeared to blame me as she said she hoped my day would get better.

After this, Paralegal B stopped communicating with us. I asked to confirm receipt for paperwork Willard & Willard had requested. No conformation and our realtor had to follow up as well.

I had to ask our realtor to follow up for down payment that was wired the day before closing as Paralegal B didn’t confirm receipt to me or anyone else.

The closing attorney seemed annoyed that we wanted to go over closing costs (“You were already sent these…”) but two items were missed that we had already paid for. Our realtor didn’t realize we had paid the survey and I’m not sure if it was Coastal’s job or Willard & Willard’s job to confirm that we had paid a year of home insurance.

After the closing, they wouldn’t respond to paperwork my realtor wanted until she got Coastal involved.

Three days after the closing, they came back saying another document needed to be signed that they had missed even though we had sent all required documents. It has now been over two months without follow up with what was supposed to be required paperwork from Coastal.
