Very unethical practice. Hired firm as a defendant for a very simple motion to dismiss. Retainer fee went up $500 during consult from what I was originally quoted due to the complexity of my case (motion to dismiss is clearly complex, lol). $250 consult fee was not deducted off retainer as promised prior to hiring. The motion was dismissed by the Plaintiff first and this firm never had to file a response, appear in court or even inform the court they were representing me, NOTHING! I was charged 2500 for two emails and a 20 minute conversation. They refuse to refund any unused portion of my 2500 retainer. They said they would refund my $250 retainer bc it was "suppose" to come off my retainer but never seen that refund. They did very little to no work on my case. Again the court didn't even know this firm was representing me bc a response was never filed.

These are the attorneys that give lawyers a bad name. Save yourself and your wallet, don't use this firm! I don't mind paying for work earned but 2500 for two emails and a 20 minute conversation is ridiculous!

Money hungry sharks that truly don't care about ethics.

Patrick William's represented me in a matter, of critical importance to my family. Anyone involved with litigation concerning a family court matter knows, the fear and uncertainty can be paralyzing.

Patrick is an attorney who asks the right questions, understands key issues, and is able to apply a solution that fits your unique situation.

I was facing a very serious matter. In our first meeting, he educated me on the possible outcomes, and gave an honest assessement. His approach demonstrated he cared about my family, and understood the impact, litigation was having on us. By the end of.our meeting, it was clear, he advocates fiercely for his clients.

The date arrived, and I was scared to death of an outcome that would devastate my family, but most importantly, my children. The results of Patrick's work in court, achieved an outcome that not only saved the future of my family, it gave me hope for a brighter and more collaborative future going forward.

Patrick, I cannot thank you enough for the professionalism, expertise and care you took in advocating for me today. I'm forever grateful to you and your team, at Batch, Poore & Williams.

Mr. Williams represented me in a unique case. I am a single father of two children. I was seeking child support from the children's mother. Mr. Williams stayed the course and won my case despite hard fought legal maneuvers presented by the children's mother. Consequently, the children are better off. I highly recommend utilizing his services!

My case won the award from the judge of the “worst, most contentious divorce” he’d ever seen. High-conflict, domestic violence and protective order, CPS, child and spousal abuse, self-employment – all the variables that make for a complex, convoluted case. And I represented myself for over three years at more than 40 hearings in front of at least 6 different judges.

Mr. Williams came recommended to me for a contempt charge filed against me, alleging violation of the custody order. I did not hold back, telling all the details that have quite literally scared off over a dozen attorneys, who would not take my case because it is so big and so high-conflict and so much work. I had one attorney quote me a retainer of $20,000 before he would even sit down to discuss my case with me.

Knowing this, I deliberately focused only on this hearing, arranged fees, and showed him my evidence. Having talked and worked with private attorneys, court-appointed attorneys, and operated pro se with attorneys advising me, I am well aware of what to expect on the client care aspect. Very little. Mr. Williams made sure to call me before each date (it was continued several times) to check in and discuss it, reassure me, tell me his perspective and strategy, and in general listen to me and answer all my questions. My questions are more in-depth than the typical client as I’ve learned legal jargon and procedure in the process out of necessity, reading case law, crafting arguments, learning evidentiary rules, etc.

I also know how these hearings have gone for me, as this was not nearly the first of this type or on these issues. He listened to my fears and, without discounting them, gave me to know he was capable and prepared and genuinely, authentically not concerned about the outcome. It was subtle – but each time I met or spoke with him, afterward, my anxieties were reduced.

For the first time, I began to feel safe, like I could rely on someone to handle this for me, someone who knew full well what lay at stake. He did not disappoint: far from it – he exceeded my expectations. Walked with me through the entire hearing, communicating what he saw, where he thought the judge was, how thin the opposing party’s case was, and argued my case clearly, keeping it focused on the matter at hand instead of letting it spiral out of control.

The benefit to me – I cannot explain how much this took the stress off from not having to personally handle all the prep, the questioning, fielding objections, curating evidence, facing opposing party, standing up as a non-attorney against opposing counsel, assessing how Judge was taking testimony, which things do I respond to. I was able to be a just client, a witness, in a single role. I was able to be the mom who was just taking care of the kids.

He won, and this went far better than if I’d handled it on my own, and I can say that because I have handled them alone. Worth every penny. I cannot recommend him and his firm highly enough.

Patrick Williams exemplifies the attorney that you need to represent you in a family court matter. I had an emergency custody case filed against me by my ex-wife. Mr. Williams was able to keep me calm and provided great advice that resulted in a favorable outcome in the custody trial. Mr. Williams demonstrated his legal knowledge and was extremely professional throughout the entire process. Mr. Williams truly is an asset to anyone that uses his legal services. I would greatly recommend him to anyone and look forward to working with him in the future when the need arises.

It was a very satisfying experience having Mr. Williams represent me at court.

Despite sounding dramatic, I will say that - the strategy he proposed on my first consult was exactly what the Judge stated in the final judgement! Felt like Mr. Williams reverse engineered the case from judgement.

Very thorough, responsive and professional. Strongly recommend!

Patrick and I met less than 24 hours before my 50B renewal hearing. After going through what life was like with my ex, and his on-going behavior since; Patrick was able to go in the next day and make sure the judge heard the history required to decide in my favor. I was granted another 18 month Order. My last attorney had several months on the whole case and managed 12 months.

Regarding Custody:
Patrick was calm and rational. He wasn’t trying to be a psychologist, he wasn’t trying to think like a judge, and he wasn’t trying to become my friend. If you talk with an attorney who does any of those, run.
Patrick advocated for me, and made sure my ex’s long-winded ramblings were efficiently cut to pieces with targeted questions for me and the other witnesses. Whatever his methodology is, it was easy to answer succinctly. In the end, we did better than even he expected.

Incidentally, my case has very high CPS involvement because of my ex. Patrick understood the complexities in a way an average family law attorney does not. I received a referral to this firm, but for a different partner. As it turned out, I was represented by exactly the right person.
