I hired Alexander French to handle a custody and visitation case for me in February of 2017. In the beginning, things were fine - He started the paperwork, worked with me and the noncustodial parent to come to an agreement on visitation (which we did). Then, Attorney French started to become unresponsive and would say he would send paperwork by a certain date and I would have to follow-up after the dates he promised had passed.

We came to an agreement on visitation pretty quickly - Attorney French said noncustodial parent had the paperwork and he was waiting on him, the noncustodial parent said he never received anything. This went on all of April, May, June and July. The noncustodial parent on our case reached out several times (with no response) to ask what he needed to do with our visitation plan after he finally received it in order for him to return it back correctly to the attorney. The instructions from the attorney were unclear, and he failed to clarify what needed to be done with the paperwork. I reached out several times by phone and email to request updates on the case going weeks without responses back.

Finally, I was forced to end our client attorney relationship in September of 2017 (7 months later) because of unresponsiveness. The noncustodial parent and myself were wanting to get things moving and start his visitation with the kids, but we still had yet to have any of the custody or visitation set as an order because we didn't know what to do next. This was directly the cause of the attorney not being responsive. As a single mother of two young children, I paid this attorney everything I had saved up and did not deserve to be treated this way. I would not recommend this attorney for any of your family law needs.

When I say Alex has velvet boxing gloves, he really does. After that big mediation session, my ex and I even went out for lunch. Turns out my ex was relieved too. He was relieved that Alex wasn't some egotistical pit bull lawyer ready to gut him and our family relationships just for bragging rights with the boys at happy hour. I highly recommend Alex French.
