Not sure how I ended up in contact with this attorney, originally called Lorde Law Firm for a consult and David Melnyk called me back to schedule a consult. After meeting for a free consult, wrote him a check and left. I decided the next day that I did not want to use his services and requested a refund. He refuses to answer the phone or call me back. He's quick to reject my calls and send a text saying "sorry, can't talk right now. " and I have yet to get a single call back. Went by his office, there is no receptionist, just another one of the crooked attorneys that are not willing to offer any help other than taking a message. After going up to his office in person, I finally got a response from him via text week that he would issue a refund check in the mail and I have yet to receive. More calls and text have gone unanswered, his voicemail is full so you can't leave a message. I will be making a call to the SC Bar. Guess he's spent my money and can't afford to refund it now based on all the business he's not getting of his incredible one star rating he's already achieved. So unprofessional.

Do not use this attorney. After he was paid via paypal. He did not show up to court on two occassions. Resulting in a guilty verdict for a traffic citation and he was paid $400. He uses texts to correspond with you, that is if he even bothers to responds. He was actually referred by another attorney. So if you do not live in the area and you can't drop in on him DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!

He was given money to start on a case. I was told by him that I could make payments and when contacted to see where he was at with my case he said he could not even file with what I had paid him thus far. i have left countless messages and texts that I still have to include going into office and leaving messages with Daniel and the gentleman up front. It is going on 2 years now that this man took my money and refuses to give me a refund. I am a single mother of 3 children and he knows the situation I was in. He is a liar. Ethically wrong for what he has done and makes the entire law firm there look bad. I will never recommend anyone to him nor his associates there. He is a representation of them also. They should all be ashamed to have him on their team. Knowingly keeping people in his community financially burdened. He is in debt to me and anyone else he has victimized. His associates back him by not making sure he does right by his clients. I was forced to give him 1 star on this review in order to post it, unfortunately they do not offer negative stars because that would have been my choice.

I hired David to help with some scary issues in my life recently. I was confused and not sure what to do. There were 3 separate cases I needed help with and all 3 had the potential to set me back. I was worried I would lose everything in my life. David was fantastic. He is a smart and competent lawyer who always did what he said. One of my cases lasted over 2 years and David was there till the end. I cannot thank David enough for his help, support and understanding. On all 3 cases I could not have asked for a better outcome. If I ever need an attorney again in the state of SC, I will automatically call David.
