Not sure how I ended up in contact with this attorney, originally called Lorde Law Firm for a consult and David Melnyk called me back to schedule a consult. After meeting for a free consult, wrote him a check and left. I decided the next day that I did not want to use his services and requested a refund. He refuses to answer the phone or call me back. He's quick to reject my calls and send a text saying "sorry, can't talk right now. " and I have yet to get a single call back. Went by his office, there is no receptionist, just another one of the crooked attorneys that are not willing to offer any help other than taking a message. After going up to his office in person, I finally got a response from him via text week that he would issue a refund check in the mail and I have yet to receive. More calls and text have gone unanswered, his voicemail is full so you can't leave a message. I will be making a call to the SC Bar. Guess he's spent my money and can't afford to refund it now based on all the business he's not getting of his incredible one star review. So unprofessional.

Great experience, beats the large firms as you deal direct with the lawyer rather than get passed off to a clerk or inexperienced grunt. It is clear he knows the courts and system. Moved my case from the original court to another which he explained is a one time option. The officer did not show so my case was dismissed. Of course he explained that for more serious cases such as multiple DUI etc. the officer is likely to go to the court it is moved to. Since he is a one person operation he may not be available immediately every time you attempt to reach him such as when he may be with another client or in court. One of the trade offs for dealing with a busy one person law firm. Works for me.
