I highly recommend Coleman Legal. Mr. Coleman helped guide me through a difficult time and with his help things went much better than I thought. He was supportive and answered all my questions. Mr. Coleman was recommended by my best friend and another person from church who hired him two years ago. I spoke to a few other attorneys but came back to Mr. Coleman’s office because it was obvious he was the most caring and knowledgeable attorney. He gave me the best advice and was fair in his rates. The advice I received paid off in dividends and kept me from making mistakes early in my case. Mr. Coleman made all the difference and for the better in my case.

Brian is very professional and skilled in real estate law and understanding matters involving real estate. He is very prompt in responsiveness.
I wish I had listed and followed my instincts after reading Leah Burke’s review below as most people typically do not leave a review unless they have a legitimate complaint. I walked away after an initial fee which he would not refund even though he did no work. Fast talker, makes you feel comfortable and at ease then he rips you off. I think there’s only one attorney and one paralegal. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Danny Coleman was very helpful in helping me move my case from another state to Georgia. With their help I was able to change my child custody and eliminate my child support. Very happy with the results and service.

I would definitely not recommend this office to anyone. I have no idea what they do all day, but I will tell you what they don’t do: they don’t answer the phone most of the time, they return maybe 10% of your calls even when you leave a message on the voicemail or with the receptionist, they rarely return emails even if you just had one simple question, and if you ever set up a call with your lawyer they will have someone in the office conference you two together so that you don’t have your lawyer’s phone number. I find that weird because every lawyer I have ever done business with has given their office and cell phone number and made themselves very available. These clowns won’t do that and that was a red flag for me.
For some reason we needed two attorneys working on our case even though we originally just met with one- apparently Tamara was too busy to handle our very simple child custody and visitation case, so we ended up meeting with another lawyer, Jamie, most of the time. The best part of this was that whenever I talked to Jamie, I got billed for her time and Tamara’s time because she would need to consult with Tamara. So if they had a 20 minute conversation about my case, I got billed by Tamara for 20 minutes and by Jamie for 20 minutes for the same damn conversation. If I emailed or called Jamie (which, after several months, became common because Tamara was off doing whatever) I was billed for her to talk to Tamara about my call or email and then for her to respond to me. Why the hell I couldn’t just deal with just one lawyer I don’t know. Likely because they wouldn’t have made as much money.
I asked the other party to reimburse me for my legal fees, which they included in our final draft of an agreement and stated that he had 30 days to do this. His attorney responded that his client didn’t have the money. Jamie forwarded this message to me, and I did not respond because it didn’t matter- I asked to be reimbursed and that was part of the agreement we typed up. Well apparently the other party’s lawyer never agreed to this reimbursement of legal fees and told him that he didn’t have to reimburse me. This was NEVER relayed to me. The sad part is that after forking our over $6,000 for these idiots to do a minuscule amount of work, I found out my department was closing at work. That combined with Christmas made money pretty tight. I was counting on the other party to pay me back so that I could pay them their last $500 payment, but he never did because his lawyer didn’t agree to that and told his client not to. Which again was never relayed to me. They ended up dropping me because of this. I called them several times to see if there was anything I could do. No one would answer the phone and the voicemail kept saying it was full. I emailed Danny Coleman, the ringleader of this circus, twice in one week and he never replied. Finally after calling about 10 times over the span of this week, he answered the phone and said that they were moving offices and their phone and email were down. Does he not have his business email synced to his cell phone? What kind of attorney doesn’t? Are they even real lawyers? Probably not. Irritating, but good riddance. I just hired another attorney who actually answers their phone and am hoping to have my case wrapped up after two years wasted with these guys. DO NOT hire them. There are many other firms with better ratings and better service.

Danny Coleman and his staff were so very helpful in my divorce case. In helping me settle my case, he explained to me that I had a lot more options for protecting my rights and seeing my children than what I was told by previous attorney. Danny is great for getting to the point and helping to fix things. He returned my calls on several occasion after hours and on weekends. I was even able to reach him over the Christmas holiday to answer a few questions. I have dealt with a lot of good attorneys in my line of work, and Danny Coleman is included in that list.

Choosing Colman Law Firm was a terrible mistake. I hired them to file a Child Custody Modification and paid the commiserate retainer to do so. However, my ex’s attorney, having gotten wind of the filing from none other than my attorney, filed a Contempt Charge as a preemptive strike. When I was served I immediately took the summons to Colman Law for review. They assured me that we had 30 days to comply or respond and went to work on higher profile case. 3 emails and two in person meetings, I asked again and again if I needed to appear for the hearing that was set for a week away. My ex’s attorney was adamant that I had to attend. Repeatedly, I was told not to worry by my attorney.
A week later, I had a Default Judgement against me! Yes, I WAS supposed to appear! Again, I was told not to worry, they would talk to the judge and fix everything. They told me that they were filing Counter Contempt charges anyway as a response and we needed to give them 30 days to respond. So I trusted that things would be resolved and justice would prevail. I waited anxiously for over a month with no response. Finally after harassing them, I find out that NOTHING was done about the default judgment and the Counter Claim wasn’t even submitted!!! The did however get a hearing about the missed Contempt hearing.
At the new hearing the Judge admonished my attorney about not knowing that Contempt Charges DO NOT require 30 days! Plus, then the judge laughed at my attorney when she stated she wanted to file a Counter Contempt claim. She said, "Counselor you CAN’T file a counter claim to a contempt charge dear! That is Contempt 101."
Defeated/angry/confused I asked my attorney what was next. I mean all these missteps must be some sort of legal ploy, Right?
Nope.
She told me that now we had to file a the original Modification (of which I hired them for in the first place) and that is the only way that we can overturn the order (which I was already paying for with a garnishment of my wages for child support I never missed!). Overwhelmed and a complete loss, I had no other response than ok…. Then I get - since I missed the hearing, find out a Counter claim cant be filed, and a hearing to explain why we had missed the first hearing, (all their mistakes) I had burned up all the original retainer that I had to cough up another full retainer to file a Modification!!!
WHAT!? Are you kidding me! Obviously, with all this documentation of misconduct the head of Colman Law firm, Danny would do the right thing.
Confident, I took the complaint and all the supporting emails showing that my attorney was not only misinformed on several critical issues but had also committed to the modification and hadn’t even finished it. Mr Coleman was very nice and heard my complaint. Unfortunately there was no happy ending for me. He apologized and told me he would talk with my attorney and get back to me immediately.
It took him 2 days to declare that there was nothing they could do except for giving me the almost completed Modification and I could represent myself!
Unbelievable! But True. Unethical, Unfair, and Unaccountable. This firm showed a remarkable lack of knowledge about GA Family Law and when confronted by myself, and even the judge, they did NOTHING to make it right. It is firms like these that give Attorneys a bad name. Had this been a traffic citation it would have be terrible, however this was my child and my attempts to take the legal route to re establish my relationship with her, at stake.
Do your research, ask for references, don’t assume they know the law (even if it is in the name of there profession, Understand they DON'T care about your case as much as you do, especially if they are making less that $10K, and lastly try your best to stay involved and demand attention. Otherwise, you’ll be a poor schmuck like me. Starting back at the same place I started months before. However, this time with only lint in my pocket and even less time with my daughter. Stay away from this firm!

D.Coleman did a great job on my divorce case. The staff and other lawyers also did a great job. The location is convenient. Will tell friends to call them if going through a divorce.
