Gave two stars only because he seems like decent guy, but in my experience with him as my attorney I couldn’t have been more disappointed. After a whole year working my case he still couldn’t remember the names and roles involved of hardly anyone, felt like I was telling my story over and over for the first time each time we met. The defense attorneys were very aggressive issuing subpoenas, filing for dismissal, and denying the few requests we made. The whole time he told me not to worry and that we were looking good. During my deposition defense presented stacks and stacks of exhibits disputing my claims, but all were easily refuted and none of them held any water. One week before two depositions were scheduled Joseph called me and strongly recommended I drop my suit, claiming there was a good chance it would be dismissed before trial and I could be held responsible for defense legal costs. At this time Joseph had only spoken to one of the five witnesses I had informed him were willing to testify on my behalf, he had yet to issue subpoena to give us access to my work email account which contained numerous emails that were greatly damaging to the defense, he had not issued one subpoena so that he could depose any of the persons we named as defendants, and he offered no logical reason to drop my suit other than he suddenly felt it was no longer a winning case, but one that would be dismissed before trial. When asked what caused him to reverse his stance he responded by referencing a few of the exhibits presented during my deposition, which I again explained to him were easily proven false allegations to which he responded as if he had never heard my responses to the allegations before. At the end of the conversation the best reason he gave me was it just looks bad. I emailed him before I came to sign the final paperwork(he doesn’t get emails while out of office), and laid out all of the details highlighting the lack of any action on his part besides attending one deposition and speaking with one witness and explained that the only logical conclusion I could reach was that he wanted to quit my case because it was more work and required more time than he wanted to spend on it. I believe he was hoping for a quick settlement and gave up once he realized there was great chance it would go to trial. I never got a response to my email, and I signed off to close my suit despite my confidence it was a winning suit just because I lost faith in his ability and desire to represent me. Unfortunately, I would not recommend his services for anyone filing a wrongful termination suit and I deeply regret not hiring another attorney to represent me from the beginning.
