I highly recommend the legal services of Daniel Weintraub and his team at Weintraub & Selth to represent your best interests.

I came to Daniel's office in need of immediate legal counsel to avert a life changing, legal disaster.

A disgruntled former employee had filed a malicious, predatory law suit against my wife. This suit was being defended by a law firm more motivated by billing fees than results. One year later, with the case still dragging on, my wife moved to another attorney hoping for better advice but still it was deadlocked.

18 months of fees, no progress, stress and frustration, being passed to junior lawyers... it was a nightmare and time to seek help.

Our first meeting with Daniel was a revelation; here was clarity and here was a roadmap.

Daniel's outstanding legal and people skills, masterful negotiating and deal making saved the day. Within weeks he completely took over, settled the whole matter and achieved a result that none of us (or our lawyers) could have foreseen that allowed us to immediately move forward with our lives.

Daniel has built a great team of dedicated and exceptional professionals.

Building a business is not easy and certainly not for the faint of heart. Dealing with business setbacks is even harder. We were faced with multiple challenges all at the same time – some anticipated, others that caught us off-guard. Having a great team helps you rally together and fight the perfect storm. But sometimes despite your best efforts, you are left with unexpected challenges too complex to handle alone. I was referred to Dan by a trusted business mentor and I couldn’t be more grateful that I had his help when I needed it. Dan guided me in understanding the various options, evaluating the implications, and making sound business decisions. He was masterful in negotiating win-win outcomes and handled every situation with the highest integrity and fairness. Most of all, he provided perspective to see things through the fog that can cloud your judgment. He helped to find a way forward even when it seemed like none existed. In business, risk-taking is necessary and setbacks are unavoidable. Make sure you have the right experts by your side to help you turn dead ends into new beginnings.

We spoke with four other attorneys before we met Dan Weintraub. Every other conversation left us feeling hopeless and defeated. But Dan offered up an alternative program he developed himself that allowed us to avoid bankruptcy and assignment but at the same time maximized payouts to our creditors. In the end, we wound down the business without the stigma of bankruptcy and our creditors received about 70% more than they otherwise would have collected. Dan was always responsive and available to take our calls and meet us in person as we needed. He helped us solve problems with each challenge that arose and calmly guided us through the process. I think his type of responsiveness and care is a bit rare these days and we really appreciated the extra comfort that gave us. If your business is in trouble or even if you just want to explore options, I highly recommend a conversation with Dan before you rush to do any kind of filing or assignment, or make an otherwise irreversible move.

When considering counsel in this field you really need a firm where you can feel like you have a partner you can lean on as you go through the process. That is exactly what I got when my company engaged Weintraub & Selth to handle an extremely complex case that was just daunting to say the least. Dan Weintraub and Jim Selth methodically guided us through the process and were just incredible at strategizing and implementing a plan. They were relentless in seeking the most positive outcome and didn't let up on taking the positions which we all new were right but which we also knew would be challenging. The lawyers here are fighters, and smart ones. They are true advocates for their clients and their counsel is absolutely invaluable as you navigate the difficult waters of this area of law. I will forever be indebted to them for their counsel and wouldn't hesitate to ask for their assistance on nearly any matter.

I met Dan Weintraub of Weintraub and Selth after previously meeting with two other BK attorneys. I own a manufacturing company in the South Bay, and both attorneys I met prior to meeting Dan called my case,
hopeless. From the moment I met Dan his calm, and positive demeanor, went a long way to easing my anxiety. Dan's upbeat personality kept me positive throughout the whole bankruptcy process. We were dealing with a very large bank who were hellbent on obstructing my path to re-organization. Dan and Jim were never intimidated, always had a Plan B, and were prepared for any and all eventualities. I sit here today on a path to repayment of my company's debts, and still owner of the company my Grandfather founded, due to the hard work, diligence, and expertise of Dan Weintraub and the attorney's at Weintraub & Selth.

I first met Dan Weintraub about eight years ago.  I had a hotel project under construction and Imperial Bank, my lender, stopped honoring my construction loan draws forcing me to fund my construction out of my own pocket.  Because the bank had breached its obligations to me, I chose to stop making my loan payments .  It soon became clear why Imperial stop funding my loan. Imperial collapsed and was taken over by the government and was than acquired by City National Bank.  City National claimed I was in breach and threatened to foreclose on my project. That was when I found Dan. I interviewed him and found him to be confident, experienced and knowledgeable. He set up a meeting with the head of City National's workout group and within one hour, had the bank willing to completely restructure the loan in my favor including making additional advances to me.  Since that time, I have used Dan and his firm in connection with all legal matters that I have. He is aggressive and creative, a top-notch problem solver and a great negotiator and strategist. While he is first and foremost a workout attorney who focuses on saving small and midsized businesses, his skills are such that I have engaged him as my outside General Counsel. In connection with a large development which is currently underway, he has put together and supervised the development team, always ensuring that my interests and those of my family come first.  I recommend him highly and without any hesitation.

H Granados Communications, Inc., retained Weintraub & Selth in late 2011 to represent it in its successful Chapter 11 restructure. The case was discharged in 2014. W&S representation was invaluable. At the beginning W&S listened carefully to what we had and what we needed to accomplish with the bankruptcy. They made sure they understood the risks involved, especially those that could derail the process. We got off to a strong start. This included a cash collateral order that worked for our company and circumstances, and, that enabled us to stabilize and ultimately to survive the process. A major issue was resolving unpaid payroll taxes with the IRS and with EDD. W&S encouraged us to put together a plan that we believed we could deliver on. We did. W&S advocated it. And it was accepted by the IRS and EDD, and, confirmed by the Court.
Our case could have derailed at any time. W&S, again and again, and promptly, resolved issues related to this bankruptcy. Subsequent to the discharge of the case, HG has retained W&S as general counsel. The services and introductions have been tremendously to our advantage.

I have worked with Dan Weintraub and Jim Selth as a colleague on numerous mutual client matters over several years. Dan and Jim provide truly exceptional representation in navigating resolutions for their clients. They are extremely knowledgeable about all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code, they keep to a high ethical standard in their practice by putting the client’s interest first and they are creative in pursuing effective solutions for both their debtor-side and creditor-side clientele. Dan has tremendous ability to move parties in a negotiation towards objectives that serve the common interest for all sides to solve problems in a meaningful and expeditious manner. Dan is also a concierge for his clients, pulling together key talent to manage complex client matters with deftness and decorum. Jim orchestrates case strategies with precision and a depth of knowledge that rivals his peers. Jim identifies a path through the potential hazards of litigation with an attention for the long-view and a favorable outcome. Dan and Jim are formally recognized by their colleagues for excellence and it is easy to understand why having worked with them so often. I recommend their firm first any time I have a client who seeks relief from financial obligations that have grown beyond layman management, as well as, any time I have a client seeking to collect judgments owed. I recommend them first every time. My clients have always been very satisfied.

Since my job involves helping clients resolve complex tax collection issues, having Daniel Weintraub as a trusted resource for over ten years has been comforting to say the least.

Not only is Dan well versed in all areas of Bankruptcy, he also has used workouts, wind-downs and other methods to resolve my client’s financial issues when bankruptcy did not make sense.

I would recommend that anyone with financial issues whether they are considering a bankruptcy or not speak with Dan.

I have worked with Dan Weintraub and his team for nearly ten years as a financial advisor to businesses. Dan and his team do an excellent job guiding their clients through the decision making process of filing for bankruptcy or not. Knowing that bankruptcy is the last resort, they will negotiate with their client's creditors out-of-court to avoid a filing. If a bankruptcy is deemed to be the best course of action, Dan and his team do an excellent job - guiding their clients through Ch. 11 bankruptcy and getting across the finish line to plan confirmation. They are smart, hard working, tough with negotiations, willing to go the extra mile and a pleasure to work with as well. I highly recommend the services of Weintraub & Selth.
