If you want a law firm that truly will help you avoid this one at all cost. Being as though I'm a disabled vet and I needed help with a family law case I was referred here. Even though it was a pro bono case they didnt do anything to help me case. I now see the blessing in this Iof I had paid my money I would have been more disappointed than I already was. Do yourself a favor and go with another law firm you will be glad that you di . The people I worked with truly did not care and they did not offer any true resolve to my case.

I am a 90% disabled veteran attempting to recoup lost benefits from mistreatment by the Army National Guard. Reached out to Patti Shewmaker and spoke with someone who’s demeanor on the phone appeared to be nothing more than refuting my intentions bye quickly telling me I was wrong based on her understanding of the limited facts that she had from me within a five minute phone call. Was unable to give the complete story of what happened with me. This lady came off as rude, abrupt and just not very comfortable to talk to. Rather than continuing what seemed to be a process no more comfortable than a tooth extraction appointment with my dentist, I used my best judgment and ended the conversation with this rude lady.
Word to the wise, before you spend thousands of dollars, ensure they have the communication skills needed to take care of you.

July 10th 2017 was one embarrassing day in court!! If you hire this firm make sure they don't give your case to "Dan" he is a disgrace to the firm and the GA State BAR! He will charge you for services that were not done and when you get to court he will throw his file at you and tell you to make sure you didn't miss anything! If I knew I was supposed to have put the file together I could have saved a ton of money! I highly discourage the retaining of this firm! Don't let the military background fool ya, there is a lot of deceit in this so called law firm! I am also filing a formal complaint with the State Bar Association for this misconduct!
