Dishonest, taking advantage of people financial struggles, staff is not very knowledgeable of the Bankruptcy laws, and there is probably one attorney supervising the whole thing and making sure that they take as much "down payment" from people as possible.

They are good on calling you back and giving you false hope. I should have known that they were not good when I saw two different clients in the lobby complaining asking for an attorney and they were being ingnore.

I received wrongfull advised for a chapter 13 they insisted on a deposit to " have the attorney signed my filling" they came back saying that we made too much money to qualify for a bankruptcy. I asked for my money back immediately and they refused...

After you sign the paperwork and files from your attorney that first assisted you, you will never hear from the attorney only the paralegal and only by email. The attorney has never spoke to me over the phone. When I call, I get a receptionist and they are rude and not understanding in what you need, (if you need to speak to your lawyer or paralegal) they will be sarcastic and say I will leave a message for your representative to call you. All I get is the parralegal's email and no requested phone calls. Yesterday, I received an reply from my paralegal, I replied back, she did not respond. I called my trustee's office for help. Do yourselves a favor, save yourself alot of time and money and go somewhere else!

I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The people in accounting who call are just plain RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. If I could redo it I would. I should have paid more attention to the reviews people left about them. I wouldn’t refer anyone to them.

I would not recommend Debstoppers/The Semard lawfirm to anyone. The attorney does not call you back when you have a question. The attorney always says they are in court and too busy to respond. I first went in and things seemed fine and then saw three attorneys over the course of a couple of weeks! First one said my Ch 13 bankruptcy case would be only $500 a month, then a 2nd attorney said $710 a month, and my third attorney now has me at $935 a month and then will increase in the future to over $1000 a month! It is ridiculous how no one knows how to calculate figures at this place! If I knew in the beginning it be this much I'd probably would have just not filed or gone to another attorney. Also, you are treated as a number, another case, just like at the bankruptcy court! This place does not go out of the way for you at all and they do not want too! They just want to move onto the next case!

Receptionist & 1st lawyer at the Stone crest office was good. Submitted all paperwork that was asked . Got a Dismissal notice A vehicle got towed because of them. Got a new Lawyer a few days later. Found out amendments was not filed on time. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I wish that I could get my money back that I gave them. Very Dissatisfied with the company.

Love how attentive they were with me. The lady at the front desk could have been a little more friendly and interactive. This is a tough choice to make to do bankruptcy and when you see someone at the front desk looking unfriendly, it makes you feel tense about your decision. UPDATE 2-7-17 I would not recommend this company to anybody going through something. They start of nice until you sign and start paying them and then you are NOBODY to them. Lawyers kept changing i was getting bad information and very hard to keep communication with them because they wont call you. I was told to surrender my car and that i could get another 1witch was wrong even the second lawyer i spoke to told me that after the fact. I haven't been able to get another car yet and i need the car to work and get full schedule i told them that. Im still trying to get 1 also been looking for another job that dont require a car but they dont care im getting threatening calls and threatening voicemails talking to me any kind of way about two payments that i dont have telling me what they gone do to me. I dont have extra money now nor do i have anybody i can borrow from i take care of myself. My paper work wasn't getting done how i know is i went to dealership with this letter that was sent to me about a car dealer told me bankruptcy not showing up on credit and it had been 3 months should have been there they denied me due to that. Its already stressful and i thought Semrad law firm was here to help me BOY WAS I WRONG they add to the stress instead of waiting on me to get everything back right so i could pay. If i was told accurate information the first time right decisions would have been made i know i need the car due to type of work i do so why would i screw that up. I just recieved a call 2-7-17 from a rude guy telling me he gone put down i refused to pay and he dont need my consent to do it even tho i didnt tell him that. WHO DOES THAT TO PPL.. Just ridiculous take your business elsewhere
