OUTSTANDING Attorney. Took care of business, went on the offensive and balanced the scales. Very much appreciate Pamela's care and understanding of my situation. Could not be happier with the results,

I went to her in 2010. She had a great sales pitch but could not deliver. She did not do her job. Took 3 mos. to get my spousal support started. I had to call my husbands employer to get the info on how to submit the paperwork correctly. She claimed to have worked with this employer before. Later she told me she had not represented the spouse before. She spoke as if she was my husbands lawyer. Then as soon as the support started she wanted 500. A month to keep her. I do not recommend this firm. If she had just been honest with me.

I am grateful for Pam Swift and her staff! They were supportive and understanding during my time of need. Unfortunately due to my cases particular circumstances, it took years to handle. But in the end, her services blessed us with freedom from one of the most traumatic times of our lives.

Our experience with Pamela Swift is that she will present as nice to your face but I would not trust her as far as I can throw her. Her firm is all about billing opportunities and making money and not advocating for the best interest of their clients, at least in our experience . She used attorney Patrick Rogers to assist us with a post nuptial contract and he just took a contract out of a legal resource book and slapped our names on it and then billed us for it although it bore no resemblance to what we were looking for, as communicated to Ms Swift. Her firm failed to reasonably communicate with us, and did not follow directions, even simple ones, and billed us for extremely shoddy work; her firm even billed us for a telephone call they made to us! Miss Swift would not present the draft of the work that they billed us over $1000 for, which led us to resort to firing her and citing State Bar rules to demand a copy of our file as as a means of obtaining a copy of the poor work that they billed us for ..Upon belated review of the work, Miss Swift surely knew that Mr. Rogers' work was shoddy and misguided (he never called us!) and at one point she contemplated giving us a refund, but ultimately chose not to do that even though I believe she knew fully well that we obtained absolutely no value for what they produced and wasted out time. Those circumstances led us to take our case to the CA State Bar arbitration forum. We found out that the local Bar Association was very familiar with Miss Swift because other clients also felt the need to take recourse through the State Bar to obtain a refund for work Ms Swift failed to oversee and/or performed below a reasonably competent standard herself. In testimony, at the arbitration, Mr. Rogers admitted he simply cut and pasted the postnuptial contract from a legal practice guide, however, those books are intended to represent merely a sample of work to emulate, not an end result to bill a client for. Mr. Rogers never called us and the contract he produced bore no resemblance to our wishes as we expressed to Ms Swift in an earlier meeting. My advice is to stay far away from this firm because their interest is focused on lining their pockets. I also believe that for the few positive results they obtain in their casss, they are advocating for those positive Internet reviews; please consider your choice carefully. I myself am a lawyer and feel that at least the point that Miss Swift knew full well that they billed us for a shoddy unusable product, she should have paid us the respect of a refund. We all make mistakes, I suppose, but must own up to them. Naturally, we won our case in front of the arbiter, who saw her State Bar violations, such as incompetency, failure to communicate with her clients, and also failure to draft a fee agreement, as Bar rules required. Miss Swift wasted our time and money and should be ashamed of herself. Mind you, she was always "nice" to our face, even during the arbitration process, but that did not change the offensiveness of her actions. Ms Swift, if you are reading this, this post is not because you erred, but because you knew your office produced junk, did not own up to it, wasted our time, and failed to take initiative to "make things right" with us.

Pamela Edwards-Swift was a life saver when I had to take my ex back to court to gain primary custody of my daughter. Throughout the entire process, Ms. Swift clearly explained the process, set very clear expectations with me regarding each phase of the court proceedings, made solid recommendations to me which helped me decide on the best overall situation for my daughter. Our custody battle took just over one year, and what impressed me most about Ms. Swift is the results we got happened exactly as she said it would! I highly recommend Ms. Swift!

Pam and her team exceeded my expectations. I've never had to higher a lawyer before and I met with a few before her. I felt comfortable, reassured and that she had not only mine but my daughters best interest for my case. I highly recommend her. She has years of experience in all types of family law cases.

I have known Pam for over a decade. My first experience with Pam was as opposing counsel on a case I was handling. In June 2010, Pam published an article in WestCoast Magazine titled "Family Law Attorneys Can Make Or Break Your Case", in which she described our working relationship on that case as follows: "I recently had a case in my office that the other attorney and I were able to work out amicably, just with telephone conversations. We never met in person throughout the entire case. The attorney was very pleasant to work with and we were able to save our clients a lot of money by avoiding court appearances." Since then, I have worked on Collaborative Divorce cases in which Pam represented the other party, Pam has been a consulting attorney on cases I was mediating, and I've referred Pam many cases over the years. The title of Pam's article couldn't be more accurate, in my opinion, and I have published a great many articles on that topic over the years. In my opinion and based upon my experiences with Pam, she is a family law attorney who can make your case, not break it.

I hired Edwards-Swift & Associates because I had a very "high conflict" custody matter that had to deal with the father attempting to alienate my children. My previous attorney was just not capable of doing all of the necessary things that had to be done as his office did not generally handle a case that was so complex. Not all cases are considered high conflict and sometimes an attorney who does not specialize in family law can be utilized. However, the expertise and skills of this firm cannot be outdone. It has been a long and drawn out case because the issues involved are very difficult to prove. However, I am happy to say that so far, the job that has been done by Ms. Swift's office has been superb. This includes her staff. They are very attentive to my needs and have kept the lines of communication open consistently. Because of the issues, I have spent a lot of money but every cent paid has been worth it because of the results I have received due to the firm.

If you have a high conflict case particularly involving child custody, I would highly recommend Pamela Edward-Swift. Pam is a very experienced attorney and is also very very busy. But if you do need to speak with her, all you have to do is ask Janet to make a phone appointment. But if you feel your answers or concerns can be addressed by Don Barbee, Pam's paralegal, then I do suggest you speak to Don since he's much less costly than Pam. Don is also very knowledgable and is very helpful. Pam's hourly rate may be more than other attorneys but she is completely worth it if you can afford her. Of the times I spent with Pam, she's given me her complete attention and addressed all my concerns and she can be very aggressive to help you get what you want. Pam also has a super-friendly staff. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. They do genuinely care and empathize with my situation, especially Kimm; a collections or accounting personnel who to my surprise is so sincere and friendly and was able to help me sort out some invoice issues.

Horrible advice and bogus charges. Not about helping you, this firm is about getting every dime possible out of you while providing poor service.
