After my father died, I learned that an extended family member had taken advantage of him and caused him to create a trust three days before he died. The trust disinherited my sister and I, the only children of my father. I researched several law firms and came across Albertson & Davidson, LLP. Jeff was able to uncover significant discrepancies in this extended family member’s story of how the trust was created. The opposing attorney in this matter stated in open court that his clients would never agree to mediate this matter prior to trial. But after Jeff’s deposition of the extended family member, the opposing attorney’s clients apparently had a change of mind and agree to a mediation. Stewart and Jeff appeared with my sister and I at the mediation. After a long day, and much back and forth, we were able to come to an agreement that made us believe we held the opposing side responsible for the creation of the trust, and provided an inheritance to us that we believe was intended to be made to us by our father.
