God Bless You! I hired Family Law Matters about a year ago. I had been unhappy in my marriage for many years before filing for divorce. The only reason I waited so long was because I was really scared. From the moment I walked into the office, the staff was very welcoming and supportive. The attorneys were great, too. They kept me informed, gave me my options, and kept every promise they made to me. I couldn't have gotten through the process without them.

Wow. My ex wanted a divorce to be with her felon boyfriend and I was very afraid of the legal system since I know many men who had been run through the ringer in our legal system. Family law matters really protected me and restored my faith in the legal system. Wow My ex pays me child support and alimony, the system is fair and family law matters protected me from all attacks, for example restraining order attempt and trying to get me supervised visitation of my son (I won). Cassandra was so awesome and so was my attorney Colleen. Colleen (very very pretty) she was very kind and compassionate through my divorce and I could tell she identified and felt my hurt and pain, Divorce was very painful and would recommend family law matters to anyone needing their services . I would advise any man to retain a woman attorney to protect their rights. Although divorce was the most painful experience I have ever experienced but Colleen and Cassandra really helped to move the process forward and I never felt they over charged for their services. I obtained the service of Kristy and Roxanne months into my divorce and was able to share custody and even went above and I am beyond happy with their counseling and service provided. Both answered my questions and explained the process of divorce and reassured me.

I love their welcome packet that outlines the process and how you are greeted and explained the process upon initial meet and greet with B. They have excellent use of technology either through document file sharing programs or phone responses.

Coming into Family Law Matters I was nervous and scared, but with their friendly receptionists they eased my nerves till I was able to talk to a paralegal. When we were able to sit down in a conference room they made me feel safe, comfortable, and they answered all my questions. They were able to tell me if I had a case or if I should just self represent myself. They had no hidden charges they were upfront about everything financially. They have been most kind with every client and they make it their goal to get to know each and everyone individually and tend to their needs. I love this firm they have made my bad situation a more pleasant one to go through with their help and guidance.

As a realistic individual, one of the things I value the most in life is straight forward opinion and mostly truly showing cares when we claim to do so. That being said, my main reason why I chose Family law matters was because I felt that I wasn’t just a client but rather someone they not only listen to, understood and took the time to hear. Then my frustration came in when I was passed to another lawyer different than the one who did my initial interview and didn’t find out until before the mediation. Skeptical, but trusting the integrity of the firm and because Cassandra my paralegal was doing an amazing job at caring and listening, also mostly at being straight forward about reality. Then before my hearing Rebecca my new attorney contacted me to present me with the proposal of the opposing party which was of course not what I wanted to hear. One thing I truly appreciated, she was straightforward and honest about reality and the mistake I had made in mediation by agreeing to a stipulation I didn’t understood. Out of frustration, I told the firm the morning of my hearing that I will rather go to court alone and plead my case and my mistake to the judge. Against all expectations, Rebecca my attorney showed to court not only with a plan to argue my case but with the right attitude of support. I gave the 5 stars not because all turned out the way I wanted in court but because my new attorney fought for me and to rectify the mistake I have made in mediation to the point of almost getting in trouble with the judge. That is in my book the ultimate value of a lawyer’s attitude for his client. That I value and respect. I will live with the outcome of my case but I will surely always respect Cassandra my paralegal and Rebecca my Attorney for rectifying as much as they could for me.

I hired Family Law Matters when things were darkest in my life. I am not sure exactly how I found them. I did an on-line search, and somehow, out of all the people who popped up on the internet, I felt like the Lord was drawing me to them. When I called, I knew immediately they were awesome. I was so afraid my husband was going to take the children away from me and leave me penniless. Somehow, they were able to negotiate a fast and fair settlement. I got to keep the house and the kids.
