When I first got served with Divorce papers I thought my life was over, then I called Navid and he assured me that I was not going to go through this alone. Now I am no longer nervous I am no longer scared that I will loose everything I ever worked for. Navid and his team will fight for me to the very end and help me keep as much as possible so that I don’t end up living in my car.

Hired Navid after a very long and reassuring consultation. He answered many questions for me that I needed to know legally and had the confidence to move back into my home without any recourse from the police. Luckily I was in a meeting with Bob when she called and he heard the notice. We were at the courthouse within the 4 hours of notice and sat in court for 2 hours while getting excellent legal advice from Bob before the judge had denied all of her claims. This is just the beginning of a long road ahead, but so far I am extremely satisfied with my representation and would recommend Navid to anyone.

Going to court is never easy, with that being said finding the right Attorney is essential. I had saw the reviews which is what initially caught my attention, I reached out to sceduale a free consolation, I was very surprised at how quickly they responded to my call. Navid was the second attorney I went to in the process of my divorce. It was almost instantly clear the difference in caliber. It was like going from a college team to a professional team. He knows his way around a courtroom.

Mr. Moshtael and his office is very professional with friendly staff. This is a serious law firm that only practices family law with numerous years of experience and fully staffed. I made it very clear that I am in a very dire financial situation. My husband left me and my infant child in the USA by ourselves with no money for food or shelter, so I told Navid that I needed to act very quickly and aggressively because my ex was actively evading service of process, and was actively disposing of our marital accounts. Navid assured me that he would personally act quickly and aggressively to ensure that I would receive support order right away. To this date, I still do not have a support order.

I was struggling for a few months trying to find a professional overseas server who could serve my spouse but I’ve had literally no care about it from Navid. Did even get any reply or enquiry from him how the things are for me and my daughter, knowingly that I’ve paid all my money to the cent to Navid on the day I signed up with him . Until one of his paralegals finally looked at my case, called the contact in my country and my spouse had been served day after. All this time wasted for the lack of care from Navid????

Long story short, Navid took completely wrong strategy, then left my case in hands of his paralegals to deal with admin. They procrastinated matter for nearly 5 months with no visible outcomes. Before he even took me to the hearing he billed me with over $7000 in clerks fees!!!! Because nobody else was dealing with it!!!

Every single time I tried to ask a question of the paralegals there, because no lawyer would ever respond to my calls or emails , I would be charged, even though they never provided any answers. I was getting sick of their impartial regular replies that they “had to ask the attorneys”, but the attorneys never called back, emailed back, and my questions remained unanswered! In short, I was charged for NOTHING!

I have been asking what the case strategy is, how we are going to proceed, what the firm is going to do to ensure that my infant child and I have a roof over our heads, but I have been completely ignored by Navid and Christie.

Being so neglected by my own attorney I’ve had to raise the money I don’t have to get a second opinion from highly recommended independent councillor. He’s looked at my case and invoices up to date, heavily questioned a lot of odd charges, notified me that my mediation appointment had been missed without any knowledge of mine!! And had I not known it the hearing would not take a place without it in place. Also having extensive experience with international divorces not just from words(like Navid, who abused my vulnerable position at the time and made me believe he’s competent)), he assured me that all the court requests Navid filed to the court are technically unenforceable in the US until the final judgement which could take years!!!!

I had to come physically to the office, turn down all his little minions until I got to see Navid himself and confronted him with everything. He had nothing to say in his defence. Just apologised and returned all the money.

But the thing is, my new lawyer currently is trying to UNDO everything what Navid has done, which takes months to cancel the petitions Navid filed and thousands in lawyer fees!!! I’m distraught!! I’ve got no money to survive on, I’ve got a small child in my hands, and trust issues with the lawyers that I gave developed whilst dealing with Navid.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Do not trust his reviews, because this was the only thing he cares, I know that I’m not the only one treated like this by him as world is small!!!

This firm lacks integrity, they misrepresent their skill and level of involvement, and I DO NOT recommend them for ANYTHING.

I Hired Navid after meeting Few Family Law Attorneys. As soon I met him i realize he is the guy who can help with my complex case that involves Child custody, Domestic Violence , large asset and unreasonable wife.
He has really good staff who also helps to put together a solid case. Lucy, Ron and Aaron are extremely detailed oriented and responds to my email normally within 2-3 hours! Navid also replies and answer my questions over the weekends even though he is busy with his family.
laws are Laws and all family law attorneys can handle basic work but, If you want some one who will put a good fight in front of the judge then Navid is your guy!. I didnt reliaze how good he is until we went in front of the judge. His responses are quick and thorough.

Navid handled a tough case for me, Alimony Adjustment for a Long Term Marriage. Not many Attorneys can handle this, and not many Judges want to deal with this, it's low on their priority list. Had a difficult time at first with a lack of communication about my case but once the miscommunication was cleared up had a much better experience and things were handled according to my needs and goals.

I found Mr. Moshtael's firm from Yelp for help with divorce. Mr. Moshtael was quick in responding my e-mails and clear in answering my question. (even in Mid-night)
Mr. Alex was the attorney worked on my case. He is responsible in general: he answered my questions in e-mails in clear and understandable manners and gave me calls when he felt we needed a discussion.
If there was anything I wish to be improved, it would be that during the process of preparing documents, I had to poke the team about 1~2 times per weeks. I wish the process could be faster.
I understood the team had to prioritize different cases. However, it would be better that some head-up on expectations on how long a process would take. When it took longer than what was projected, an update would be appreciated.
To give you some background: my case was relatively simple: no need to go to court, and didn't involve lots money.
But to be fair, to poke my legal team was easier than some teams I led at work :)

went to Mr. Moshtael for help with a court motion my ex-husband filed. I had reached out to a couple of other firms and I did not feel comfortable with them. A couple of the firms I saw just sort of brushed me off when I started explaining my situation.

I would first like to say that I had a very complicated case which was given to Navid with only 2 weeks to prepare for a trial which included getting my kids back from their Narcissistic father and go to trail on a move away.
In a complete state of panic I began looking online and reviewing yelp reviews for a number of attorneys. I felt completely hopeless….. After much research and numerous reviews of the state bars records, I sent a message to Mr. Navid Moshtael. I was impressed from the beginning because he responded to me on a Saturday. Not only did he respond, he took his time to listen to my concerns, and was very honest and frank with where we were at with my case.

The communication that I had between Navid and his assistant Kim was everything that I was looking for. I had a bad taste in my mouth from my previous experience and they were very sensitive to that. Not just Navid, but Kim spent HOURS (at my request) going over every note, police report, picture, e-mail ect all while taking notes while I explained everything. She was creating her strategy! Every time I went to the office or received an e-mail from either of them, I ALWAYS felt my heart breathe a sign of relief. Navid and his team are the best divorce lawyers in Orange County. I, sadly, had 2 different divorce lawyers before Navid. hired Moshtael on the basis of advocating for and arguing for my interest in the real property in question but instead he did the exact opposite.
He seriously prejudiced me with your unethical behavior. I paid him a $10,000 retainer in November of 2018 to assist me with the case and an additional $5,000 was paid in December 2018. The day before the trial he sent me a bill asking me to pay $9,768.75 and requesting that it be paid that day. That same evening he sent me an e-mail asking me about the status of the payment and implied that he would not be able to represent me the following day at trial unless there was payment.
As every California lawyer should know, pursuant to CA Rule of Professional Conduct 3-700, an attorney cannot withdraw from representation even if you are owed money if such withdrawal would cause prejudice to the client. And withdrawing from representation on the eve of trial is pretty much the text book definition of causing prejudice to a client.
Moshtael sent his associate James Wellman who knew absolutely nothing about my case appeared the morning of the trial. Moshtael appeared at 11:45 a.m. before court recess and after I had messaged him to appear. He also had another associate whom he brought with him when appeared who was not a trial attorney and Moshtael billed me for her time as well without my consent of having them present. Having to pay for three attorneys who were not prepared and knew nothing about my case is unethical and egregious. Furthermore, Moshtael pressured throughout the entire day to accept a settlement offer that was absolutely not beneficial to me and my children. He repeatedly indicated to me that he would not be representing me because he needed more money and Then his associate informed the judge of the same. I have witnesses who can attest to this. Additionally, they failed to argue the contempt action and made me look unreasonable before the judge. If they knew anything about my case, they would know that my ex-husband abused me and I have a permanent restraining order against him for his abuse.
Moreover, one day before the trial date my acquaintance who is an attorney received a call from someone in Moshtael office asking if she would be a witness in my case. Such behavior of calling an important witness one day before trial is clearly indicative of an attorney who is obviously not only ill prepared but also indicative of an attorney who doesn't know how to handle trial and family law cases.
Additionally, Moshtael's assistant called all my witnesses who had been subpoenaed the evening before trial and informed them all not to appear the following day at trial.
His fees are unconscious able for many reasons, and his behavior is nothing more than unethical and constitutes malpractice - plain and simple.

I live in San Diego county and needed an attorney that would exbidit my case with knowledge in the OC. This office is wonderful to work with and Erin Noonan’s help, I felt like I made the correct choice. NAVID was GREAT working with my case and he achieved the results I was looking for! I would not hesitate to call them again for help.

Navid was amazing in the courtroom. Our case was almost impossible to win and many lawyers told us we had no chance. Navid stepped up with very little time. He cared. He fought. It was like a movie watching it play out.
