I rarely write reviews because they are normally not warranted. In this case, I feel I need to share my experience of over 6 years working with Wilkinson and Finkbeiner law firm, specifically with attorney Brian Mullen and his para legals and secretaries on many family law matters. He has diligently guided me through several family law issues ranging from questions on the my original divorce settlement, child custody issues to child support issues etc. Brian's calm demeanor and excellent knowledge of the law has saved me time and money, however best of all positive results. His abilities have enabled me to stay in my daughter's life and fulfill my responsibilities of being a dad which I cherish and enjoy. He understands the emotional issues that come along with family law matters and fought hard for me using his legal knowledge and his staff. I always felt comfortable that they were on top of every issue. He always took time to listen to my goals and planned accordingly with great legal advice at a reasonable price to get to my goals. I am more that pleased , I am grateful for all this firm and especially Brian has done for myself and family. I highly recommend this firm and especially Brian Mullen.

I must say I’m definitely glad to have found Andrew and Brian from this firm to help me. They are awesome guys! They took the time to truly understand the inner kinks in my case and analyzed my case from every angle, not just telling me what I wanted to hear. They took the time to explain to me my options instead of pressuring me into taking a position that I would end up regretting. I must say this office is a well-oiled machine! They do things quickly and efficiently without sacrificing detail. The staff was also pretty awesome! Especially Cheryl! She was very helpful and was able to hone me in on the details that were very important in my case. They never went a few days without updating me as to new occurrences and kept me in the loop at all times which I loved! I can’t say I have any complaints about my experience with them. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone who needs family law help. There should be more attorneys like them out there.

I had a great experience with Mr. Andrew Tran. He was prompt and professional concerning my legal matter. It is scary to look for legit legal counsel when it comes to family issues. Very glad I found this firm! Dollie at the front desk is awesome as well.
I am the court appointed guardian for a relative going through a divorce in California. I heard many times that it is not easy to fight a case from out of state. The judge overseeing the guardianship called this divorce case very complicated. If it weren't for Brian Mullen this case might not have been brought to a successful and long lasting conclusion.
I finally arrived at Wilkinson & Finkbeiner after I had become very frustrated with the first lawyer handling the case. I had my first consultation with Brian several month before actually retaining him. He was ready, immediately, when I had to respond to a 24 hour notice ex-parte request after the previous lawyer had decided that he could not continue his representation any longer. After a several months long search, Brian had been recomended by another lawyer in San Diego. She had known him from the time they worked in San Diego county. I had asked her about someone she could recommend in Orange County to be able to handle the specifics of the divorce case.
Brian Mullen has met all my expectations, especially after we had to come up with new strategies to bring the case to a successful conclusion. A key ingredient was to maintain a working relationship and build trust with the opponent in the case. The opponent had faced more than a hundred thousand dollars in legal bills from his former lawyer, a law office that is being described as a billing machine. As a result of that effort, I had to have legal counsel to respond to several frivolous requests which eventually were turned down by the court.
After the initial battle finally all the facts in the case had come in due to the very knowledgeable paralegal Cheryl's effort and Brian's understanding of the legal process and specifics of the case. She and Brian were very resourceful. They had been able to explain to me every step on the way, enabled me to make informed decisions and fully understand the court process. They successfully prepared me for two weeks of court sessions and testifying on the witness stand, enabled me to negotiate with the opponent to bring home the points that could be settled out of court and only continue to litigate the issues in question.
At every step Brian had been conscious of the expense we needed to incur to provide efficient representation of my ward's position. Brian recommended competent expert witnesses with whom he cooperated well. We succeeded in a sense that the court's decision was fair and based on complete information. I can highly recommend Brian to anyone who appreciates his somewhat quiet and problem oriented attitude. He does not make any promises that he can't keep and follows through successfully. He can successfully stand up to the top earners in the divorce business when he can rely on the merits of the case. I have a similar expectations of Andrew, but he was only involved in the case on one court date when he had filled in.

I’m going to be honest here…I already interviewed about 10 other attorneys before I met with Andrew and Brian. Although I already made up my mind before I met with them, I figured more information couldn’t hurt. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of knowledge they had. I was so surprised that I decided to hire them. It was the best choice I ever made. The way they cared for and handled my case made me feel like I was a part of their family. It definitely showed in the quality of their work. The entire staff working with Andrew and Brian was very pleasant especially Cheryl. Cheryl: Thank you for caring about my case so much and empathizing with me! They never made any moves in my case without consulting me first which I definitely appreciated. If you want lawyers who show that they genuinely care about you, look no further than Andrew and Brian’s office! I would recommend them to all my friends and family!!

After browsing through the many different family law firms in Irvine, Wilkinson & Finkneiner was the firm that I chose and I do not believe I could have chosen a better law firm. Due to my work, I am often away overseas and it was amazing how they were able to get everything accomplished. The paralegals on staff, especially Cheryl Clayton, were amazing and helped make this very difficult part of my life much easier to deal with. If you are on this webpage, look no further. This is the law firm for you.

I was going through a divorce, and found it difficult to find someone I could trust to help me through this difficult time. After doing some research, I was in touch with Andrew T. Not only did he handle my case with the utmost professionalism, but even went as far as making sure that I understood what was going on, every step of the way. He even went above and beyond to ensure that the other party (my ex) had her paperwork correct. The help that Andrew provided was more than I expected, and exactly what I needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Andrew Tran or Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP to any of my friends or family requiring legal assistance! Thank you so very much!

I am writing this review about the attorneys at Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP, specifically Andrew and Brian. It's rare to find a firm that is willing to go above and beyond to make sure that your case feels like it's their top priority. By nature, I can understand that law firms have many clients, but with Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP, you are not just case number 285768. They know you by name and show that they really care. The regular follow-up emails and phone calls help too. You feel like you are never in the dark about your case. They helped guide me through the process which made my case painless. With attorneys being given such a bad reputation, I can say that Andrew and Brian definitely do not fit in that category. They're honest guys who I would recommend to anyone who wants good service with a smile :)

I thought I was going to have an amicable divorce, turns out this is probably my worst nightmare. I ended up hiring a lawyer. This is the law firm I went with, with a friends recommendation. Andrew Tran and his team are very helpful. They answered my questions very quickly and thoroughly. The weekly follow up emails adds a great experience. I would highly recommend this law firm.

I am writing this review with much gratitude. I was referred to Wilkinson & Finkbeiner by another accomplished Guardianship Lawyer who is a friend of mine. He said my particular custody battle was not his particular expertise so he recommended this firm. My litigation began in San Diego with Attorney Kyle Siems. At that time I was overwhelmed with anxious thoughts of the possibility of losing my daughter. Kyle was very good at calming me down and providing a game plan that made sense and best ensured my desired outcome. However, my case was suddenly transferred to Orange County's jurisdiction. After putting so much trust in Kyle he had to hand me off to another Attorney in Orange County, Brian Mullen, who he assured me was highly qualified to fight for me.
Right away I was impressed. Brian was very confident that I had a great case and was certain of his strategy going forward. Like Kyle he put up with my anxious phone calls and babbling, settled me down and assured me of his expertise and his confidence in my case.
I've been involved in church ministry for years. I'm a people person. So I can recognize in both Brian Mullen and Kyle Siems that they don't fit the negative stereotypes unfortunately associated with Lawyers. Both Lawyers truly cared about me and my family, and especially about my daughter's welfare. Although, they were strictly business when it came to the quality of their work they were also very concerned human beings.
It's also worth mentioning that during my Child Custody Interview, the interviewer, on more than one occasion, stopped to praise the quality and organization of my declaration that was prepared by Brian Mullen. I believe it was his skilled preparation of my declaration and his wise choices at every juncture that won me my daughter. I consider him a good friend and am forever grateful.
I could not make a higher recommendation. W&F was a very good choice and far exceeded my expectation.

I highly recommend Andrew Tran and his staff. When I asked for a consultation Andrew was quick to contact me and openly discuss my case. And before demanding a retainer I may add! Andrew was very straight forward and had an answer for everything I asked. I was overwhelmed and very stressed when initially talking with him. He did a great job reassuring me and helping me understand my rights. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Andrew again in the future if needed. I had some other legal matters I needed taken care of as well. Andrew was even kind enough to give me a solid referral to another firm that could handle it as it wasn't something they could handle. You can feel comfortable with the level of service here through out the office, from Chanel the assistant to the various other attorneys in the office. This is a solid team and pleasant to work with.

The staff along with Brian have made a significant difference in my case. Brian has immersed his professional talents and knowledge into a complex case and taken the personal time and effort to really understand my situation. He has been very skilled at how to apply the law in order to make things work and literally help me in a very difficult experience in my life. I highly recommend this law firm to someone who wants the absolute right kind of representation. I have experienced another attorney prior to this and it it has been day and night. Plus their staff has helped immensely in the details with gathering info and doing much needed foot work. They offer the complete package and will allow you to live your life while going thru such a difficult situation. In short you don't need to shop around. These guys are the only ones you should consider.

I wanted to thank the Law Offices of Wiklinson & Finkbeiner for representing me in a case last year that resulted in my having primary custody of my children, which was in their best interest. Brian Mullen is a very knowledgeable and personable attorney and achieved excellent results, Although my case was very complex, Brian successfully represented me throughout this difficult time. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone!

I interviewed several reputable attorney's but Brian was the only one that sat down with me, prior to asking for a retainer and rolled up his sleeves to review my documents for a solid hour. He offered up sound and realistic advice, gave me his honest opinion and invested in my case with great care and concern. I've worked with many attorney's and have never felt this kind of attention or commitment. Carol and Dollie became like family offering up sympathy and support every step of the way. My case was a difficult one involving reopening a long since settled divorce after finding fraudulent discrepancies. Brian does not waste a lot of time with the obvious roadblocks thrown at us by the other legal team, which were made to drag out the process and drain me financially - Brian handled everything like a pro and kept moving forward. We were selected the best option for me and finalized everything to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this firm, Brian and his team for good, clean, no-nonsense legal defense.

The absolute incompetence was indescribable. The entire experience was like a 3 ring circus. As if Brian not knowing anything about my case at deposition was not bad enough, after they almost had 10k of my money, but they tossed me to a new attorney who's name was Sarah who began to ask me questions as if she had never even read my case. So essentially after months we were starting over. I complained about that, and Brian came back to my case to continue the mess he had begun months earlier. I just kept thinking it was too late to get a new attorney, and praying to god that they would pull their heads out and begin to become competent. That day never came. NEVER! :( They only thing that was remarkably competent and efficient was their billing department. I swear I am not at all being cynical. I often was surprised at the girl they had on top of that part of the business. She was professional and did not miss a beat. I used to think how could they have such a top notch billing department. But then have attorneys that were bumbling idiots.
Listen Brian Mullen is a very nice guy, but he is truly truly in the wrong profession. He was always unprepared. On several occasions he told me I did not have to be present at things that I would later come to find out from my ex after everything was over and we talked was a really bad thing for my case, as well as upon further investigation found out in my absence he did not present very pertinent information we had agreed he would present. I mean the entire experience was a joke. A waste of my time, and a huge waste of my money. I was just so stunned at the mistakes that were made during my experience with this law firm that I personally witnessed, and then to ad insult to injury the horrific discrepancies uncovered once I left them finally.
I am not the only one surprised by my representation, so were attorneys for the other side, as well as the lawyers I had to hire after he, well and the law firm botched my case for the better part of a year. In fact it cost me a fortune to have someone come in and review what I had already paid Wilkinson & Finkbeiner to do, and then take the appropriate action on a case that should have been done 10 months prior. Once the attorneys I hired took over the mess Wilkinson & Finkbeiner had made for me completed reviewing documentation from them for my case, he shared with complete conviction that I needed to turn them into the state bar. He said he had never seen so much incompetence in his life, and he has been doing this work for over 40 years.
I hope that everyone takes the time to say the absolute truth about their experience. Up to now many of them have avoided accountability because of the authoritative nature and knowledge they hold behind that profession. The same platform you and I would have to use to stop them is where they do their expert work. ugh!!. Puts us all at a slight disadvantage wouldn't ya say? Unless of course you're another attorney. I feel like lawyers are unfortunately probably always going to be a necessary evil in this litigious society we live in, and sadly much of the small print we generally have to sign protects the bad ones from responsibility for bad behavior, and or even malpractice.
Although I do believe there are really honest and good attorneys out there, there are a lot of very bad attorneys like these that so often overshadow the good ones.. It is just mind blowing some of the things I have witnessed attorney's not have to answer for. So now if social media has created a tool positively affecting the responsibility and accountability to the people that have to seek their help, often people in total desperation, despair, fear of what we don't understand but have been told we should get a lawyer for, then THANK GOD. This tool might just work to get the good attorneys from behind the shadows of these awful ones!!
I will be happy to share more with you if anyone has any questions regarding the nature or facts of my experience with this law firm. Please feel free to contact me

I am a retired veteran. Out of the blue, I was surprised with heinous allegations of domestic violence that sent me to jail and took away my ability to see my young daughter. The charges required the hiring of a criminal attorney to keep me from going back to jail and losing my job. After winning there, I really had no choice but to file for divorce. Having a daughter I love deeply, I was very hesitant to do so. Trying to work and live each day, knowing my daughter was being kept from me for an indefinite amount of time, was torturous. I knew I needed a divorce attorney. A daunting amount of legal work was required to ensure my goal of maximizing the amount of time with my daughter was guaranteed me and I was not comfortable representing myself. Due to the initial allegations against me, I wanted an attorney who, after hearing my case was not only willing to take it, but was confident of our success. I found that in Brian Mullen at the law offices of Wilkinson & Finkbeiner. In the initial conversation with Brian, he made my goal his goal. My case has required skilled work from Brian and the Orange County office as well as Wilkinson & Finkbeiner partners to combat the seemingly endless stream of lies being filed in court by opposing counsel. Wilkinson & Finkbeiner have continually remained confident and focused on our goal. The courts closely scrutinized me and my behaviors for years. The judge on our case made no assumptions and ensured every decision he signed off on was supported by unbiased professionals’ recommendations first. Brian ensured we properly documented every step, guaranteeing we always moved forward in the eyes of the court and in our own. Many times I was convinced we should quit fighting. I wanted to give in to whatever opposing counsel kept throwing at us and end the seemingly infinite process which never seemed to turn in my favor. Though the entire process, Brian never lost faith in our original course of action and often, had to calmly remind me the end result would be achieving the goals I desired so adamantly during our first meeting. At this time, my divorce is not final. However, due to Brian’s talented council, sage advice and unwavering focus, our position in the court has gone from one where Brian was constantly required to prove my innocence to one where the court views the opposing counsel as a hindrance to closing the case. There is finally light on the horizon. Wilkinson & Finkbeiner are invaluable to me. Other firms told me nothing is guaranteed and prepared me for failure. Wilkinson & Finkbeiner fiercely supported me from the start. Words cannot fully express my gratitude. They believed my case held merit and told me to expect great things. Then, they proved they were right.

Wilkinson & Finkbeiner handled a very complex case of mine with integrity and precision. W&F allowed me to go on with my day to day life without letting this case consume me.
W&F always respond to my emails and phone calls promptly which is more than I can say for the previous law offices I have hired. W&F truly cared about the outcome of my case and I never felt that they were only in it for the money. They went out of their way to help me and even did a lot of work without billing me for it!
I would definitely use W&F again... in fact... I am using them again for a separate legal matter and I am 100% confident that they will handle this case with the same methodical and hard working approach that proved to be successful in my previous case.

Before I hired Brian and Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP, I tried to represent myself in a divorce case that involved a very wierd situation. I went through a trial in the 1990s to divorce my husband, but no documents were ever filed. So although the judgge granted my divorce in court in 1994, there were no documents that showed I was divorced. When I went to get remarried, I needed those documents. Brian and the team at W&F were able to file and obtain a divorce judgment for me so I could get remarried. Overall, Brian was very kind and took the time to explain everything to me and he obtained excellent results. I highly recommend this law firm.
