I found Jessica Charles on Avvo and decided to hire her based on her previous reviews and I was not disappointed. This was my first time hiring a lawyer so I did not know what to expect but Jessica made me feel really comfortable. Most lawyers can be stuck up or stand-offish but with her, it felt like talking to a friend. She was personable and reassuring and made sure that I understood everything throughout the entire process step by step, like a "Custody for Dummies" guide. I would recommend Jessica to anyone.

During my first consultation, Ms. Charles attempted to contact his attorney to settle the case that day!! Ms. Charles was the one for me seeing her urgency on trying to close the case. Divorce is a tough transition but I felt Ms.. Charles's demeaner was pertinent in negotiations in pursuing my settlement. Without hesitation I would retain Ms. Charles again. I was very pleased with the outcome of my case and was happy we were able to wrap up this case up before the holidays.

Save your money and go else where. She sounds like she is on top of her game. She over promises and under delivers. She comes in late to a trial. Once she is paid, she will ignore your calls and emails. She will not prepare you or your witness for a trial. Horrible with asking questions during a trial. As a result I lost a physical custody of my child. The worst nightmare. I wouldn’t wish this to anyone! Jessica Charles deserves zero star. STAY AWAY!

I contacted Jessica Charles to assist with my divorce which was a bit difficult. Jessica was able to get results with just a couple of meetings, she made me feel a lot better while she worked. I am most grateful for her service and would hire her again. I recommend Jessica if you are ever in need of a good family lawyer.

I had been in touch with the lawyer (Jessica Charles) who seemed nice, on top of her game and excited about helping. She committed to providing services (advice on a legal document) in a week. That week turned into a month, which turned into months. I followed up with emails (heard nothing back) and phone calls (the office confirmed that she was ok and fully working and would get back to me in 24 hours, which never happened) to no avail. Needless to say, she collected money and did not provide services. I asked multiple times if there were any issues with my request, if she would no longer be able to do the review, etc so that I could find another attorney to help - and no response. So after about 2 months, I moved on to another attorney who promptly provided services that I paid for. Beware when working with this law firm.

Jessica is an great lawyer. She assisted me with a very difficult divorce case and helped me to get custody. I asked a lot of questions and was really stressed out, but she was very patient and explained the process to me in detail. I am very happy with her services and would definitely recommend her to handle a difficult divorce.

In late 2016 I paid to have 2 businesses opened through Maryland State with Jessica Charles. Despite my best efforts to keep in communications with her and JC Law Group she has failed to create my business documents correctly often finding spelling errors on finalized documents and also incorrect business names. This error has costed me several months of funding support and still waiting on those documents to open banking accounts for my businesses. 1879.00 dollars paid for 2 businesses and 90 days worth of business mentorship/planning that hasnt even begun because I feel she is dodging my questions or too busy with other clients after taking my money and giving us nothing. Only 1 of the 12 documents she sent us for NDA's and M-NDA were actually correct because the documents were automatically generated. Jessica keeps dodging my calls, emails and phone calls and has failed to meet her obligations to me and my businesses.
