If I could leave a 10 star review I would! Without a doubt the best immigration lawyer in the city and probably the country in my opinion. Paul and his team helped my wife and I obtain our green cards through lots of hard work and determination. At times during the process I felt like quitting but Paul was always available with great advise and encouragement and saw my case through to the end. This man fought so hard for a very long -7 years- against the government and its prosecutors( yeah multiple ones so you can have an idea how complicated our case was) untill my mom was granted a green card.
My family’s case started back in 2011 and due to complications in our case along with us being in deportation process, this man took the case and worked it step by step untill he removed deportation, and stood by us untill we all got green cards in 2018.

After we have lost hope due to the government being so aggressive against our case, and trying to find any excuse to send all of us back home.. Paul Haar was the right man for the job. He never gave up, and he was aware of every step he was taking to make improvement in our case, untill the government and its prosecutors gave up, and we won the case.

This guy showed up to all court days and interviews with us in person in time, and he prepared us prior to these meetings in his office since he has so much experience in this field. His experience and knowledge makes a big difference in the outcome since he knows what he’s doing.

To Summaries this, this man is there to help you with very complicated immigration cases that other immigration lawyers would refuse to accept( they tell you no way you would win this like they told my mom back in 2011). But nothing is too small or too big of a job for Paul.

Very rude and money hungry. Not only did he not provide the cost for the initial consultation fee until I had arrived (crazy expensive btw) there but he made some rude comments during the consultation. He made a reference and took a wild guess in how much I roughly make a year (annual income)...perhaps because of my ethnicity he guessed such a low number(such a low number that i was actually offended). But Mr. Paul, please now that Latinos can also have an education and earn more than you think. Also - please check Avvo, there is a special note in there saying he was has been previously disciplined.

Since the very beginning of my citizenship journey (started in 2005 with OPT, followed by three H1-B visas, U.S. Permanent Residence Card and finally my U.S. Citizenship), Paul is extremely helpful, knowledgeable of the law, compassionate, determined and responsive (he truly is available 24/7 to answer any questions I had over the years). I hired Paul S. Haar in 2016. He was very polite respectful and answered all of my questions on the interview. To be honest in my opinion my case wasn’t that easy. I met Mr Haar when I was on the way to be deported and my attorneys where given up on me. A good friend of mine said to me don't give up I know a good lawyer and talk to him and will help you. Sure enough I called the office get appointment and met with Mr Haar and his co-workers, first day was rough because I am so tired of the same questions for years and he make it simple a phone call to immigration and figured out that I am in deportation proceeding and he talk to me and explained about the case and advised me the right avenue and I signed and gave my permission to be my attorney and we started working on my case building up my case and re-write again.
to make it short I was amazed how much knowledge courage and energy he has to help and deal with immigration cases. He make me comfortable during my proceeding.

A very unpleasant visit. Paul was very rude and to some extent he was mocking people of my area sighting his racist attitude. Considering an Immigration attorney he should be very hospitable and be nice in gesture but this wasn't the case. He asked for the mode of payment first and charged my card straight away as if that was his only purpose. A very untidy office which shows his lack in hygiene. I never took google review seriously until I started writing this, trust me people here are trying to help you. A very arrogant person tried to demean my knowledge about the case in every way possible. There are far better attorneys in the DC area who are equally if not more experienced.

He tackled what appeared to be an "impossible" immigration case, where I had a negative assessment in my file for unknowingly crossing the border between Canada and U.S. while waiting for my U.S. green card. It appeared to be an impossible situation. But I knew from even the preliminary conversation with Paul that he understood the ins and outs of the issue, within the context of the mechanism of the immigration department, and how to proceed effectively. And he managed to rectify an impossible situation, and get my green card. Subsequently, I got my U.S. citizenship some years later, and he was on the journey from the start to finish. I read that he could be rude. I never experienced that. He is a very very bright man, and perhaps he doesn't "suffer fools gladly." I have no idea. But he was courteous, and as they say in Yiddish, he was a "mensch." I highly recommend him, and have recommended him to friends and colleagues.
