Three days after I purchased it and returned home, I noticed a few of the stones had fallen out. He did a very thorough inspection of my ring using a microscope that projected what he was seeing onto a monitor so that I could see as well. Not only did he diligently inspect every aspect of the ring, he also took photos of all of the issues that he noticed. He was very patient with my questions and took his time to explain all of the processes and tools he was using in his inspection. My fiance and I had a great experience with Martin Fuller with an insurance appraisal for my engagement ring. He is very nice; they even gave me a military discount, which means a lot. He is very good at explaining the process and showing you everything that he is doing. I especially liked that he expressed the importance of the sentimental value that goes with the ring and how it is more important than the number value. So he encouraged us to write the story of the ring (which was originally my grandmother's) in the blank space on the appraisal so that the value of its story will be documented as well. This meant a lot to me. Overall I was extremely impressed and hapy with my experience when I didn't know what to expect.

He made the appraisal process easy, fun and walked me through each step of appraising my engagement ring. I left with all of the paper work for my insurance company, photos and my appraisal value the same day of my appointment. Right from the initial scheduling phone call scheduling, Martin was enthusiastic and excited to hear we had a green tsavorite ("An underappreciated stone") to appraise. Coming into the office, his staff were kind and welcoming, and the paperwork to get started was minimal.

We were led into Martin's office - where he did the appraisal himself -
which was lined with cool gem books and all sorts of trinkets and equipment and cool things to look at.

By the end of the appraisal, I kept saying that I didn't expect to have as much fun during an appraisal as we did! Martin went over ALL steps of the appraisal process for our tsavorite ring, from a history of the gemstone, to the chemical processes that dictate the value of a ring, to all the tools and implements he would use. He was very thorough, very informative, and very affable. He loved hearing about my fiancee and my story, and frequently took breaks to show us cool facts about gems and diamonds.
