As a divorce financial professional, David Duff and I have worked on many cases together and I have found him responsive and professional. More importantly, he is meticulous in his document preparation - something critical to a good outcome (if the document isn't written correctly, it will not execute correctly). David's methods of negotiation remind me of an old TV show, Columbo. He has an 'aw, shucks' demeanor which my clients have benefited from as he negotiates very effectively on their behalf. Finally, David has been at this a very long time and is still one of the hardest working attorneys I know.

Highly recommend Adam Kronfeld , our family could not have survived last two years without his help. Adam and his assistant Cynthia are very quick to respond back to your questions.very professional, efficient and kind.
I retained Adam Kronfeld for malpractice claims and to preserve claims during a distribution of assets. He accepted responsibility to defend me from spurious claims during a hearing and did not open his mouth. He volunteered to file a supplemental brief to introduce evidence and did not file anything, having communicated for eleven days that he was working on it. He did not sign his name on the last submission such that it was stricken. He did not file one law or submit one piece of evidence to support my case. As a result the court accepted false allegations that I am "litigious" when I have never been a plaintiff and ordered a distribution contingent upon my releasing my due process rights to seek disclosure and equal benefit. I did not sign the waiver and did not receive anything. To add insult to injury Kronfeld then sued me for his legal fees, knowing I had no money. He hired another "super lawyer" to represent him against me defending myself pro se (because I was broke), and then tried to charge me $32,000 additional attorneys fees. The court finally agreed it could not deny my right to due process and I got my money 21 months later. At that point the original malpractice claim had passed the statute of limitations. One star is too much. He cost me millions and he should get a minus for every dollar.

Our firm hired Adam Kronfeld to represent us against the estate of our previous attorney who, we had discovered through a FOIA, had conducted himself in ways that were demonstrably injurious to our firm, and who even billed us for actions he took directly againt our instructions that he promised in writing he would not bill us for. It took Adam nearly four months to even write the first letter - and that one was mostly written by me with some edits by him. He did not send this letter until we had to go over his head to his boss. We received responses from opposing counsel that Adam was forced to send us that discussed how difficult it was to get ahold of him and the excessive amount of time it took for him to respond - so even opposing counsel saw this. He did not even begin negotiations in earnest until I went over his head again to Mr Duff, who was MOST unpleasant, and who billed us $800.00 for the task of having to tell him that his own employee was causing delays. Adam subsequently removed that amount from our bill. This firm managed to take a case that should have taken a month and turn it into an almost 8 month ordeal. I would never recommend this attorney or this firm.

David Duff helped me with a legal malpractice matter and was the consummate professional. He was prepared and detail oriented, treated me with respect and compassion, and was more than fair with his billing. I highly recommend David Duff.

Divorce is complicated. It is particularly complicated when your wife is a well-established divorce attorney. When the smoke cleared David had my wife screaming at her attorney in the courthouse hallways – he’s that good.

As a practicing attorney in Maryland, I regularly need to contact VA counsel to discuss cross-jurisdictional issues on cases. I also generally need a trustworthy firm and Virginia lawyer for referrals since I am not barred in VA. I can honestly say that I highly recommend David Marquardt. I know when I refer someone to him that they are in excellent hands and that David will take care of them and provide the best legal service available.

I am a single mom and hired David Duff for custody and child support. We managed to avoid court by his negotiating an agreeable settlement which saved a great deal of money, time and emotional stress. I will be forever grateful for his help and support through this most difficult time and would highly recommend him and The Duff Law Firm to others.

I highly recommend Ms. Williams. Two of my friends and I were getting a divorce at the same time. One of my friends ended up firing her attorney and retaining Ms. Williams as her attorney would never call her back or answer her emails. If Ms. Williams was not available when I called, her legal assistant would schedule a specific time for us to talk. Ms. Williams made sure I knew everything that was going on in my case and gave me invaluable advise. I highly recommend her.
