I was facing a reckless driving charge that I thought wasn't my fault that resulted in an Auto Accident, thankfully with no injuries to either party involved. When I got a reckless driving ticket from the Police Officer, I knew I needed good representation so I went to court to watch the Attorney's operate before I chose my Lawyer. I got lot's of mail from different Attorney's telling me how great they were representing clients but I wanted to see for myself. Sitting in court, I was impressed with Attorney Nourse's demeanor, professionalism, and how he interacted with the Prosecuting Attorney and Judge. After speaking with him, he said I should think it over and call him the following week if I wanted to hire him. No high pressure sale to represent me or scary stories about what would happen if I didn't have a lawyer. I made my choice and I do not regret it. He responded to my phone calls and emails in a reasonable time period and laid out a good strategy to fight the charge. He told me what I could do to help myself and made me feel like I wasn't sitting on the sidelines at the mercy of the court. The first court appearance resulted in the Fx Co PD asking if they could provide a witness that hadn't shown up. So there was a second appearance. At that trial, Attorney Nourse spoke directly with the Prosecuting Attorney and the two exchanged what each side had. There was no way I would be convicted if reckless driving - the case just didn't stand up. What resulted was fantastic! Instead of reckless driving, based on evidence and precedent case law, the charge was immediately dropped to improper driving. With that charge, I would only receive a 3 point infraction on my license. It also meant I was not 100% at fault. In fact, neither party was assigned a percentage of fault, but it was not one sides fault. Therefore, my insurance company did not have to pay any damages resulting from the accident (vehicle damages) to the other party involved because I was not 100% at fault and certainly was not reckless driving. Improper Driving was the charge, and that's how it ended with 2 appearances. What a relief! If that wasn't enough, Attorney Nourse went with me to the court payment office to make 100% sure the paperwork was correct and I paid my fine. To me, that was above and beyond the call of duty! As we parted company, he said it was nice representing me but that he hoped (and I did as well), that I did not need his services again in the future and to always look out for the other guy when driving. Thank you so much Attorney Nourse, you really earned my respect and I will definitely recommend you to anyone who needs legal representation!
