We have not yet started any business relationship with Bank on IP after receiving their letter of interest on our IP. However, I found their VP of business development , Amy to be very helpful in understanding the concerns of small businesses. She explained their company process and participated in our teleconference.
My experience with bankonip was good they were straight forward an honest about my invention and other steps I need to take so far everything's working fine I would recommend them to any upcoming inventors .

I was invited to a BankOnIP seminar in New Orleans shortly after my patent was published. If you get a chance to go to any of their seminars I would suggest you go, it was very informative. Frankly, I wish I would have known some of what they taught before I started my business. Prior to getting your patent you go through the misery of many reviews with the examiner sending you office action after office action until you finally prevail. Once you finally get your patent you think “It’s on now”, but what you quickly realize is that’s when your problems really start. Every patent owner believes their invention is the best thing since sliced bread. You immediately think everyone needs one, wants one and got to have one. It might be the greatest thing to the patent owner, but it will be soon met many times with disappointment because it’s not the best thing since sliced bread to many companies or the public at large. There are many reasons why it might not work for you to produce money. At the end of the seminar they will talk to you about your invention. If you want them to try and market your idea they will help you on one condition that it is something they believe they can market and could be a win on their part and a win on your part. Some inventions don’t make the cut for many reasons. Marketing your invention will cost money. The money they collect is to market your invention to many companies in the industry and attending national industry shows where they expose your invention to company decision makers. Good marketing, just like good patent litigation will cost you money. BankOnIP will carefully consider your invention and if you make the cut then it’s their belief you and they have a winning product. If you agree to a marketing plan for your invention they will propose an amount of actual out of pocket expenses to market your idea and will agree to waive their hourly fee plus pay for a portion of the out of pocket expense. Once you agree, that’s when they start going to work for you creating a great prospectus and a web page to sell the potential buyer your invention in the best possible light. The prospectus is the potential buyer’s first impression of your invention so you want it to be the best. My prospectus at first was going to be a big task to complete but with Madeline, she streamlined the process taking much of the burden off of me. Wow, what a great job she did in showing off our invention. BankOnIP has been around the block a few times and they know exactly what needs to be done and how to market your idea. Just like your patent litigation it cannot be something you just give them and let them run with it, you need to participate in giving them much needed information about your product, competition, manufacturing cost and the industry for your invention. Be very proactive with this part of the process because no one knows your product better than you! Let’s say you get a company on your own to license or buy your invention, would you know enough to negotiate an equitable agreement or get ripped off? BankOnIP has patent owners as part of their staff, that know how to negotiate a better than equitable agreement because they have been around the block and they do this for a living. They’re not successful unless your invention is successful. Will every product they take on automatically be successful? “NO” because although the idea is great, some companies may not be interested for many reasons. Believe me, it is not because BankOnIP or you did not try. The risk is with you and BankOnIp to put up money and resources to market your product, giving it the best chance of getting the offer you want. So, I have put up the money and I know it does not come with a guarantee but a risk that it may flop, but I am not going to give BankOnIP a bad rating or consider them a scam if I don’t get the deal I wanted. I can finally truly say “It’s on now”!

First I have not contacted them. I have researched them and found multiple accounts of them changing their name from Millennium Marketing and having a bad reputation. If you do choose to contact them please do some research first and let us know how it goes

Can not recommend as this company did not meet my expectations regarding purposed deliverables. $6000.00 for 16 page write up on my product which they titled a Prospectus/ Media Kit. No other deliverables- None!

3 months ago, I signed on with Bank on IP to represent an important patented medical device that I created. Every member of their team at every stage of the process so far has been incredibly responsive via phone and email, to my requests, changes, ideas, etc. I was impressed by the behind the scenes work they put forth with regard to the marketing analysis and the media kit overall. It's a niche market and the figures are difficult to mine without substantial resources. Trust me, if things go sideways, I'll be the first one to let you know, but, to date, I couldn't ask for better representation.

Bank on IP charged me thousands of dollars to promote my product and produced ZERO RESULTS. Worse yet, they failed to ever prove they even tried to properly promote my product whatsoever. Zero leads and zero inquiries inform me that they did nothing in exchange for the thousands of dollars I paid them to promote my invention...further, the quality of their promotion materials reflect their incompetent ways. Bank on IP is a lot of lip service and produces zero results. STAY AWAY!!
