My experience with Allsup was utterly lame!
The initial contact with them was excellent; however, when they tried to submit my SSDI application online, due to a technicality, I'd rather not mention here, the application was rejected.
The technicality, Allsup, never experienced. At least that is my understanding. Instead of owning their lack of experience and/or knowledge, I was led astray; lied to, in reference, to what & whom was handling my claim; steps being taken. I had waited a solid month for an individual whom a phone appointment had been arranged with me, due to the technicality. The phone call never occurred; I would call Allsup, receive a whole lot of run around.
The customer service is disarrayed; you never speak with one person; too many people are assisting - to many hands in the pot (i.e advocates, not attorneys).
The frustration & anexity the whole experience (there is more) has caused me has been overwhelming. I would NOT refer this company to no one!
I really could go on with this review; however, I'll sum it up in stating - Excellent Customer Service includes Accountability, Knowledge, & Understanding. Allsup lacks all three!
Run away!

Filed last week of November. Had to do leg work and found Allsup fax didn't get to SS. 2 weeks later, letter from SS still waiting on Allsup. Always put on hell hold. I'm sure they are good. This is MY experience.

Allsup made everything so easy and each person I spoke with during the process was helpful and proactive. I do not think I could have gone through the process on my own as I found it very distressing. I was approved. Thank you, Allsup. I don't think you could have served me better.

Allsup let me do the majority of the work. Every month I'd call the Allsup office to see if there were any new developments. No, nothing new> This is what they told me month after month. Eventually i called the Social Security office myself and they informed me I had been approved. About a month later Allsup called and wanted ME to tell them what the SS office had said. How ironic. I told them they would have to make their own phone call to SS, and hung up! Thanks a lot for nothing Allsup.

Allsup made it fast and easy for me to get approved. I think it took about 2 or 3 months, granted i been disabled for a year and a half so maybe thats why it was approved so quickly, i dont know, but thank you for helping me and doing all the work because i had no idea how to apply and you made it easy. They followed up with me very swiftly with every change that happened or information that was needed and it went very smoothly. 5 stars.

I have found all of the Allsup personnel to be knowledgeable, patient, and very good at "hand-holding" though what may be the most difficult government processes to go through. They helped me fill out the questionnaires (for the SSA) fairly and with great sympathy. The simple truth is that I had been understating how severely my medical issues have been affecting me; without any leading or suggestion, they urged me to be honest with myself. No one ever thought less of me for admitting how much my conditions have affected me. I'm very grateful to everyone at Allsup for their help and support through these terrible times.

Refuses to submit otr requests after promising. I wish I had gone to an attorney. These people process paperwork and that’s all they do.

Garbage company. I've haven't spoken to them haven't heard from them in about six months since I started my appeal and just got the letter that my appeal is denied because lack of information. Go to a lawyer who is handling your case and only a few others not a company who is basically a call center and you don't speak to them same person twice. TERRIBLE.

I used Allsup in 2014...they delivered big for me on the initial application..i did all they asked of me..had updated records, called in new diagnosis, new meds, etc..they were awesome! My husband applied in dec 2017 and was approved may 2018, initial application phase also...since I had used Allsup, I knew what they need for him too..I would highly recommend Allsup to any one!! I am grateful every day! And the fee they get is AFTER you are awarded, and the ssa decides that fee, NOT Allsup...an attorney would get the exact same fee!

I went with Allsup, I was with them for 3 years and got denied, they filed an appeal which took 6 more months, then the judge denied me again, Then the next step Allsup said they couldn’t help me, they said I had to get a lawyer and file a new claim and start all over, so I lost 3 & 1/2 years of waiting that I thought Allsup would help me, they made it sound so good that they would win my case, now I have to get a lawyer and start a new case, thanks a lot Allsup. I wouldn’t recommend Allsup to anyone!!

Tried reaching them 20 to 30 time's with no answer or return call. Me and my wife are clients for disability. I have Huntington's disease. We are having problems with Medacare which per our contract they are supposed to help us if we ever have an issue. We reached out for the first time in 9 years and they can not be reached as if there non existant. Once paid the client doesn't matter anymore.

As a cancer patient, with a serious cancer on the Compassionate Allowance List, my claim should have been a no brainer. However due to the incompetence of Allsup in filling out forms, I was subjected to grilling by social security. Allsup showed absolutely no empathy for my situation and it became obvious I was unlikely to live long enough to undo their mess so I withdrew from the claim. As stated by others, getting a real person on the phone is a nightmare and you never speak to the same person twice.

This company doesn't even deserve 1 star! Stay away from there lawyer Anthony Amos, he doesn't inform you of deadlines until it's too late and he will start a file for you months in advance but will not reach out to you til last minute. Once they mess up your claim and you ask questions they close your case without helping any further leaving you hanging.

I had to quit my job due to anxiety and depression. It was to the point that almost everyday I couldn't even get out of bed. I was referred to Allsup from my Long Term Disability company. They helped me fill out all the paperwork necessary to file for SSDI. Our first attempt was denied by SSA. I was then referred through Allsup to Disabled Benefit Advocates. The representative I worked with helped me file for a hearing and walked me through every step. I felt I was very prepared for the hearing. I would definitely recommend Allsup and Disabled Benefit Advocates.
For people new to the process, it can seem very overwhelming. Use your Allsup representative as much as possible to make sure your filling out the answers properly. Don't submit anything until your representative has fully reviewed everything.

This company has been very helpful in assisting with the application of social security disability determinations for quite a long time. Assisting with help and questions on applying, filling out questionnaires, getting your determination, and even down to receiving your payment. There's always someone available to talk and you can send in documentation via email for your convenience. If disability is something you need to apply for I highly recommend going through this company to ensure it's done correctly the first time and give you a better chance of approval since someone is advocating for you.

Brett buchanon assisted me with a veteran appeals case I have been battling for over 20 years. He and his team are very professional and have tons of experience with the way the VA operates. I tried to do it on my own and I would of been still spinning my wheels. For those who are still in appeals, just know it will happen all at once and you wont regret going with allsup. Thank you Brett & team for everything! God bless

I elected Allsup to represent me in February. I am 100 % service connected disabled by the VA. Since I had already done the initial claim on my own and was denied, I filed a reconsideration. That was denied in June. I am waiting on a hearing. I have been completing the paperwork social security has requested without help. None of my records are on file with Allsup. I completed all of their computerized questionnaires. Its impossible to get an actual claim rep on the phone. There has never been an actual human calling me. They say they will update you. Nope, not once. Now, I'm petrified of going into a hearing with a stranger. Looking into the ability to fire them, cancel fee agreement and get a real human attorney to to help me.

I dealt with this company in 2012, never reviewed them. I hope they are still as good!
I was referred to Allsup by a friend who worked for BCBS. Allsup got my request for benefits approved on the first try, in 2 months flat. I had a very good case, but my situation was odd enough to invite inquiry. I thought it might get the automatic "no" that seems to happen when your disabling condition is not among the Automatic Yes diagnoses listed.
Staff was professional and knowledgeable, and very communicative. Their fee is the industry standard, capped by law. They only charge if you get approved.
My only complaint is the referral bonus promise. I made a referral, my friend was approved, and I heard nothing. I am going to refer my brother-in-law, but not until I have spoken to them about this.
Good luck!

I have had an excellent experience! Mr. Richard Click is/ was my local representative. When it came closer to time for my hearing he made sure he and I were “on the same page”. He reassured me too. I was so scared and nervous. He is a wonderful Christian man and he asked could he pray with me. He told me that he prayed with all of his clients if they allowed it. I highly recommend him to anyone in the Memphis,Tn area.

I had never heard about them but I really needed the help so I called and Allsup got to work on my case after they ask just a few simple questions. They worked hard and quickly thank God and I had my first check deposited within 5 months . Thank you Allsup . Without you I'm not sure what I would have done.
