They are a very honest and reputable company. They go above and beyond to make the sale enjoyable and professional.

They had items listed that I went way out of my way for just to find out we're never actually part of the sale

Wonderful company. Staff had gone above and beyond for 2 sales for me. I was stuck inheriting 2 houses cluttered with stuff and no time to deal with it. Midas Touch sorted what could and couldn't be sold. Sold almost everything and arranged a clean up crew to come take care of the rest. Great option for people who don't have the time or desire to sift through houses filled with stuff and the process was completed in a timely and well communicated manner. Thanks Twyla!!

Not sure who the last people who wrote reviews were, don't care either but been going to their sales for years and they're one of the best auction companies around! Pleasant and knowledgable!

First off I want to let everyone know midas touch IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a customer how I saw with my own two eyes how they treat there workers are disrespectful and sad. The cashier that is ALWAYS working at "midas touch sales" is extremely rude and inappropriate!!!!!!!
I would also like to add that two of the sales I have been to recently I seen a guy that works for "midas touch" tripping and falling over on items at the sale and also if that is not unprofessional enough he smells like alcohol!!!!! Why the hell would any company allow that and not once but, twice I have encountered this now!!!
Wait... I know cause this so called business is a huge fake joke!!!

WARNING: THIS IS TO ANY SMART PERSON READING THIS DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT USE midas touch FOR ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!
THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF MONEY AND STAB YOU IN THE BACK!!
WORST SO CALLED BUSINESS ME AND MANY, MANY OTHERS HAVE SEEN NOW AND HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!

I believe the name of the owner is Twyla and my first impression on a couple encounters were very rude and unpleasant!!
Please stay far away from this woman!!
She is really bad news!!!

We were very disappointed with the results of our estate sale. We were misled by our consultant and really angry at how it was run. Please do not use this company.

Twyla did a great job organizing and executing our estate sale. She came in when another company had turned me down. As it turned out she was more knowledgeable than the other National Firm and provided a great service. Can't recommend her enough.

Midas Touch is the most honest, hardworking estate/auction company in the St. Louis area! Their loyal following and amazing results are impressive, and their Number One concern is the client, always.

Simple questions cannot be answered with an attitude. They like to let you know who is in charge and throw their weight around uneccessarily. Abuse of power. Well we are not 5 years olds here. Treeated disrespectufully and will never go back. Plenty other auctions and estates to buy from and be treated right.

Traumatic Experience
Months later I’m still upset about this. So I thought I should put out a “buyer beware” warning for those considering an auction. Here are some of the major problems:
First, we got a very tiny fraction of the actual value for most items, and not nearly enough to match what we would have received if we simply gave the stuff away and declared it as a tax write off. For instance, I watched buyers take out my beautiful solid burled wood Henredon armoire (there is one now for sale on eBay for $1450) with no regard - bashing it out the door. It sold for $30, and we received $18 of it. For comparison, if I had given it to Goodwill, with a declared value of $1,000, I would have received approximately $200 of savings on federal income tax – $182 more than we got from the auction.
Second, they have a policy of “if we photograph it, we own it.” If you slip up and don’t hide everything away everything that you want to keep, they will photograph it and then require you to purchase it back from them, or as an alternative they’ll offer to renegotiate the contract (in our case, from giving them 50% of ALL SALES instead of the giving them the initial agreed upon 40%).
Third is the bullying. We constantly heard comments about how worthless our stuff is, and how we needed to sell pretty much everything in order to make it worth their while. I would feel so guilty when I wanted to keep some particular item that I would agree to sell. Then they’d snap a picture and, if I changed my mind, I’d have to buy it back from them. It was like having thieves touring your home.

PLEASE, PLEASE do not use Midas Touch Estate Sales Inc.

Tuesday was a nightmare. I trusted Midas to help sell my household items. Midas, Twayla owner, assured me that her auction co. was known for drawing a crowd and satisfying the financial amount for the client and company.(Prior to the auction, Twayla and I talked about the value of my major items, especially my art work, custom blue chairs and antique dinning set.) After agreeing to allow Midas to conduct my auction, unfortunate episodes occurred. Prior to the sale Twayla cancelled twice, which cost me additional money because my contractors had to be rescheduled. The day of the auction she showed up an hour late. She encourage me to leave the premises. Once the Auction begin I received a call from my next door neighbor saying the auctioneer was giving my items away. I dashed home and found my home in total disaster. I was horrified, totally upset and angry at Twayla, the owner of Midas Touch Estates, Inc. She had literally given away my household goods. My 6 custom chairs valued at $1500 sold for $10. At 60/40 % I will receive $6 for 6 chairs $1 each. My custom framed art work sold 5 for $5 and 3 for $5. My $1500 refrigerator sold for $50. My Jewelry and handbags (Juicy Couture, Louis Vuitton, Ed Hardy, Liz Claiborne, MCM) sold for $5 grouped together. My bedroom set sold for $10; love seat/sofa $5.00. My Custom over size rug was given away, in additional to other items. Pageant gowns, many with price tag on them sold for less than $5 each. The list goes on and on. An attendee told me that my sale was not advertised on all the promised sites, Twayla held an auction the day before at a dirty, smelly home with unattractive/inexpensive items that sold for more and other people of color had similar experiences. Many attendees felt guilty, apologized, ask if I wanted to re-purchase my items and said that they had never seen any of Midas items sale so low. (After I observed the crowd, it was evident that she had not promoted my home auction. I felt prostituted and ripped off by a racist, Twayla!

I have attended many Midas Touch tag sales and auctions. They are always run very professionally. The best thing about their tag sales is that the items are priced to sell the first day of the sale and not marked up double just so they can be marked down and sold on half-off day as some other estate sales companies do. I have left large items I purchased for pickup later that day or next day and never had any items missing or damaged. Very trustworthy and honest sales staff.

Best estate sale/ auction company in the St. Louis area. I have been buying from them for years, I am always impressed with there honesty. They look out for both the needs of their customers and their buyers. I rarely shop anyone else these days.

Please do not use this company! They are unprofessional and do not appraise anything. Aside from the fact that they held a "Yard Sale" rather than an estate sale and sold everything for a pittance, they also let themselves into my mother's home, two weeks after the sale, WITHOUT my KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT, and took everything left in the home, including family photos and a custom door that we needed for a renovation! Val will not respond to my emails.

Worst managed estate sale we have ever been to. The shear amount of people in the house was a fire hazard. Could not even move. My girlfriend and baby got shoved several times by very rude people. Midas touch did not regulate or manage the amount of people in the house. We finally laid down $75 worth of stuff we wanted to buy and gave up searching because it was unsafe in the house. We even had to call the police to inform them of the situation
