Getting pulled over for a possible DUI is like walking into a minefield. As a licensed professional, whose career is now hanging in the balance, it is like entering house of horrors. At a time like this you need not only a map showing all the trap doors, but a familiarity with the complete cast of characters. Mark Sollitt is a defender who has these qualifications.
My case carried on for quite some time as Mr. Sollitt worked to insure criminal charges were never filed and the DMV pursued their case only after I was safe from criminal prosecution. When we finally did have the DMV hearing, Mr. Sollitt brought to bear all expert testimony, witness accounts, and hard evidence. He asked just the right questions of each person involved in my defense and presented the evidence in the best way to make the case for my innocence clear and compelling. Winning a DMV hearing is a daunting task but in the end we prevailed thanks to Mr. Sollitt's efforts. I believe it is very unlikely the outcome would have been the same with a different lawyer.
I need to take a moment to commend the criminalist Stanley Dorrance who Mr. Sollitt enlisted as an expert witness. He was attentive and thorough with me and worked well with Mr. Sollitt to make sure the appropriate data was collected, analyzed, and asserted in a coherent manner. His voice behind the scenes in the days leading up to the hearing and also during the hearing was strong and reassuring.
If I had to fault Mr. Sollitt it would be in the area of communication and I offer the following comments in the interest of being helpful and constructive: Sometimes I felt as if I was not a high priority or that the information and ideas I offered were not taken seriously and promptly acted upon, many of which were time critical and proved to be pivotal. In addition, I often felt in the dark about our defense and how I was to present myself until shortly before the hearing. In the end all elements were brought together well, but it seemed to me as if it was just in the nick of time.
But all in all I am very satisfied with the results and now feel as if I gained a new lease on life. I am so thankful Mark Sollitt was there for me and sincerely cared about my future.
