I retained this attorney for a assault and battery case. Mr. Cormier pretty much garaunteed me first time offender status and that if I complied with there it would be dismissed after 2 years of probation. To make a long story short he was very unprepared and got lazy on the case. There was a 911 tape that he never listened to and more. I got slammed in court and the day after Dana emails me in regards to the retainer for the appeal. We were in disagreements through email and I sent a email out of much frustration in regards to other people and then sent an email immediately after assuring that I was not going to act out and that I was frustrated. Furthermore, Dana forwards the email to the other parties attorney which of course was sent to the commonwealth. This extravaganza landed me 21 days in jail with 3 denied bond hearings. Attorneys do have an ethical right to disclose info if it's a direct threat but have to follow a procedure warning the client NOT to make those statements and to have the client assure the attorney that they will not act upon the statement made. He did none of that and like I stated before I assured him without him asking that I was just frustrated and was not going to act out. Dana had numerous bad reviews on his Google search not long ago and must have reset it somehow but I will and am letting everybody know about this guy. I will leave a review every week if I have to. He needs to spend 21 days in jail as far as I'm concerned.
