The summer fellowship gave me an opportunity to explore the day-to-day life of different legal professions (civil law, contract law, immigration law, corporate law, etc). Not only did were the speakers extremely qualified in their field of law, but they also shared their expertise in a way that was understandable and engaging.
I especially enjoyed the field trip to the courtroom. While earlier in the week I learned about the different tactics lawyers used in trial, during the day in court, I got to witness for myself how juries (or any audience) perceived them.
Thanks to GJEL, I truly feel as if I know what it's like to be a lawyer!

I participated in GJEL’s Introduction to Careers in Law Summer Program for high school students this past week, and I can genuinely say it was the best summer experience I've ever had!
