Waste of time call just for them to say you have a case but we cant handle it and cant refers me to someone any who can. when they could has said that from the start they cant take the case.

This was the worst experience I have ever had . The entire staff is incompetant and caused me so much anxiety. After retaining their services I never got a call back, they never knew who I was even though they had taken my case. I had to insist on talking to someone to make sure the claim was filed before the deadline and they didnt know who I was even though they had statements from me and witness and pictures I had to explain everytime I called. When I finally insisted on a meeting I was assured I had a good case and would be compensated for my injuries. After another 6 months I received a call from an attorney that I never heard of and he had without my consent set up a mediation and told me I should dismiss my case. Then he requested to be released as my attorney so I terminated my contract I would never recommend them for any case.

John Burris is fake. I contacted his firm to help me with clear civil rights violation and he turn me down and said it was not feasible, well guest what! I found a firm that did take my case and we are in meditation and the offer on the table is 3.5 million. Your lost you fake clown.

Quick response to questions and polite staff.

Contacted the law firm a while back and followed up if they received the information. Said to give about two weeks and they will contact but never heard again.
They only take the slam dunk cases those were on the news and not too much effort to win the case. If you have a complicated issue and not on TV, they will not take it no matter how obvious the case is.
Many lawyers want to get cases but they don't want to put effort and wait for a slam dunk cases. Don't waste your time and effort to contact them if your problem is not on TV.

All about the money and that is sad. Wish he would train staff to represent the folks who contact his office. I begged for help but his staff was heartless. Maybe he got burnt in his younger days. I know so many folks that knew him from Richmond and Oaklan he was great they said..now it's like if I am all.

This people only care about high profile cases. If they cant get on TV wmith your case they wont help you.only cases they take are the one they know they gonna win a punch of fake lawyers charging to much

Not about helping the community or a wronged individual. No publicity, no help. Not enough money involved. Sorry We can’t help You. It seems after all the money this law firm has made sueing cities guilty of wrongdoing it would be willing to maybe help citizens of some of those cities. Morally not a good law firm.

I would never ever apply here again. Awful at follow ups. I came across their website and I saw that they were offering job opportunities. I called the number and they provided me with their email. And I sent over my resume and cover letter back in March and it took like 4 months for them to follow up. I'm here thinking like dang they should've been giving me an update by now. Then I reached out to them after 4 months and they kept asking me for my number and email after I have already provided those 2 things . This is labeled as one of the worst law firms I have ever came across. Applicants, if you're passionate about law DO NOT choose this one. Their customer service is horrible and they really suck on follow ups. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

John Burris couldn't care less about equal rights! Show me one picture, one article, of a white man he defended! 0! I have had every single civil right violated sooo many times! He's not about changing the system anymore. He's lost his competitive advantage...100% talk 0 walk! He couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag! I'm suing his law firm for discrimination! I look white...but I'm more than 10% black! Skin color doesn't matter to me! Why does it matter to him!?

This guy started off small and wanting to do the right thing, but as he got in the spot light he became famous and forgotten about the people.
I sent him a good case and he blew me off because he doesn't represent the people, he represents the bad that oppresses the people.
America, do not do business with his law firm. He's gotten rich and fat off of other peoples misfortune, sad. He talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.... I was looking for an Attorney to help me with Police Brutality?
I too remember calling them, to take my case. But when I arrived, they had NO record of my appointment. But also decided Not to take my case.
You See Burris on TV spewing greatest of knowledge. I suggest that they find a nice new shiny attorney who wants to be on TV. Burris is just guessing. He also was using the name of Johnnie Cochran Law Firm at that time to get business. They were unaware of him doing this. That they had severed their relationship with him.

I live an hour and 15 minutes away from this place. Drove in for a consult, was told that Mr. Burris was going to take our case and then 1 week later received a call that he changed his mind... wasted my time. Glad I didn't have to pay his $750 an hour wage.

Just denied help, apparently a 52yr.old native american woman with a squeaky clean record can be beaten by EDSO deputies, denied medical attention,falsely arrested, tormented in jail by a correctional officer, lapse into a coma in jail, with $ 1/2 mill. in hospital bills, is not enough civil rights violations, for this law firm.

Horrible experience. Contacted the office a few months ago, was told they would look at the case, then couldn't reach anyone. As a result my Son was forced to plea to a charge that the DA added though he was guilty of nothing. Unfortunately we were not willing to allow my son to be judged and possibly convicted by a jury of not his peers. But apparently, our case wasn't worth any obvious money and civil rights are only for people that can earn Burris Law Office an obvious check. I can't begin to imagine how many young people are in prison because your Office didn't take the time to have a real conversation because civil rights protection has to have media coverage and money attached.

After months of trying to get someone to talk to me about my case. I was told they would take 40% of what I was rewarded regardless of the fact I did all the work. It wasn't like I was going to court it was only mediation with the EEOC lmao.
