I've tried many times how to accurately, thoroughly, & concisely write a review that paints the clearest picture to illustrate my experience with the lawyers and support staff of the Allen & Allen Law Firm. Whenever I try, I smile but with misty eyes despite being a fairly unemotional, logical person. The best way to describe my feelings revolves around the newest Allen & Allen advertising campaign, "I'm an Allen."
Before meeting anyone from this uniquely caring firm, I was one of those skeptical types who jokingly referred to personal injury lawyers as ambulance chasers. I definitely did when seeing this commercial. Then I was in an almost head-on accident that lead to full thoracic spinal fusion, changing my life and my children's security by seeing me as unable to do some of the most simplistic tasks, many of which I still can't do more than 3 years after the accident.
This was especially devastating because I'm not just a mom, but was a sports fanatic...golf, skateboarding, skiing, rugby, field hockey, repelling, zip lining, and more, not just in my youth or college years, but up to the time of the accident when I was 50 3/4 years old. I'm a suck-it-up, get-it-done person who can't sit still, likes to do it myself, & is a single parent for the 10 days a month my husband's at the firehouse for a full 24+ hours each of those days.
Then the accident happened.
Following the advice of two other firefighters who had been involved in collisions due to someone else's actions, we called Allen & Allen. Little did I know how this decision would impact my family or me. We met with Trent Kerns, and from there everything bad and foreign from the accident began to change. He and his super-organized, sweet, caring assistant, Ashley Peck halted the calls from the creditors for the staggering medical bills. Trent walked me through every stage of our journey with compassion, strength, knowledge, wisdom, AND HEART!!!
When we approached our trial date, he brought in the expertise of his colleague, fellow attorney Bridget Long. Bridget brought a complimentary perspective & expertise that, together with Trent, created the perfectly balanced, unstoppable team! Together, they beyond thoroughly researched, prepared for, & handled EVERY aspect & possible scenario for my circumstances. They always informed me thoroughly & truthfully as we went through each step of our journey together, answering our questions & addressing our concerns. They made it clear that WE were a team, not just them, but WE made decisions & worked together throughout our journey!
I am normally a very stoic, resilient, extremely self-reliant person, but I know that I could not have made it through this experience without each & every one of them! They gave me my life back; they helped to restore my children's outlook & their security in my future!!!
Through their actions, unwavering support, & heart, Trent Kerns, Bridget Long, & Ashley Peck became family to my family as they rebuilt my family! So, while they became Vida's, without realizing it...I became an Allen. Watching that commercial after working w/these compassionate, dedicated people, I felt the true meaning behind those words: I am an Allen!
These are not just words for a commercial. It is EXACTLY how connected, protected, & cared for you feel when you have the compassionate help from these amazingly committed, caring people who do what they do because they TRULY & HONESTLY want to help you!!! I am so grateful to them, way beyond the settlement, for restoring hope & security to my children, my husband, & me!!!
