I was a naive guy who trusted my wife (she exploited me financially and morally). She lured me to come to her home with sweet talk to trap me into a criminal case.

She accused me of things, I have not done.

She probably was ill informed by her close friends. She tried to get upper hand on the divorce using her tricks. She made a mockery of the California legal system with false cases in the criminal court and family court.

I forgive her un-ethical, immoral actions.

It was a direct attack on my character and personal moral and ethical values. Thirty years of my professional hard work was at risk. Life of two small kids was in doubt. There were several occasions, where-in I want to give up and commit suicide against the wild allegations.

Ippolito is the master of the plea bargain. When I went in initially and told him the facts of the case he promised me he’d have all the charges dismissed. Obviously, he said what I wanted to hear in order to get hired. Then, every few weeks when I’d meet him to discuss the case he had forgotten several details of the case that were critical to my defense, details that proved my innocence. This happened every time I met him. If he cared at all he would have remembered everything I told him and known my defense inside and out instead of forgetting it.

Then when I went to the court appearance I asked him if he had discussed my case with the DA he said yes, in the parking lot when they parked and on the way to court. So, basically he didn’t do a thing, and how could he have helped anyway when he didn’t even retain any facts key to my defense?

In the end, he and the DA glanced over the basic details and decided to offer me a plea bargain. Ippolito coerced me into taking it. He told me if I don’t do it I could face 8 in years in prison even though it’s obvious I was innocent. I think there’s no way in the world it could have even gone to trial because it was obvious looking at the facts I was not guilty.

He basically took 15k from me and all he did was talk to the DA for five minutes and plea bargain me. It’s one thing I regret in life that I didn’t have the guts to fire him right in front of the judge for coercion and expose who he really is. I strongly urge anyone considering an attorney not to hire this guy. He’ll smooth talk you to get your money and once you do he won’t give a damn about actually helping you. A plea bargain will be your outcome, even if you did nothing and are completely innocent. He won’t fight for you whatsoever.

This is my first time to seek for a lawyer's help since I came to the US in 2007. Our case is a domestic violence dismissal. Maybe the wife just simply wanted the police come to persuade her husband to calm down or act a role like a marriage counselor who can teach the man how to treat woman nice. 5 policeman with 5 police car came by, with electric baton in hand. You and your husband are separately inquired for10 minutes'. She may thought this will be a good lesson to her husband and hope the police can leave now, utill she suddenly realized that the kind police put on handcuffs on her husband and going to arrest him send to jail.

At this moment, she may regret and want to stay his husband, but everything is out of victim's control, the husband was taken away anyway. So what to do next? I mean, what does a wife do next? Since the husband have nothing to do in the jail, he have to enjoy his cold, wet, small cell with a wonderful free lunch (two slice of dry bread). The other morning I took one day from work, searched website for tips how to deal with situation, bailed my husband out with $10,000, and his arraignment will be 2 months later.

At this moment, I realized that the police/procurator are serious, they may sentence my husband to jail for years and there will be a non-erasable crime record on my husband's background check for employment. What is totally not I want. I need to fight back against police and let them drop the case! Since our 'enemy' now is procurator, which is too strong for us, we are eager to find a good attorney who can represent us to speak in the court(accurately, represent my husband, not me), we searched internet and called several law firms for a case evaluation. I have to say, after 2 or 3 ridiculous high quote by the legal assistant/lawyer, we are so lucky to came across VIB law firm and Miss Anniesa Jimenez picked up our call. Cameron took over a case that had been improperly managed and delivered swift results. He and his team were highly responsive and engaged throughout the process. For 54 years, I have never broken the law or involved in any activities that was questionable. I had always prided myself for being a good human being. I always helped others who needed help when I could. That had changed in April of 2017. I found myself behind bars with 5 counts of felony charges and quickly realized it was not simply enough to be innocent. Helped with two green cards (one for her child) and supported her financially, helped her put her child through collage. She called police and cried wolf.
I hired a criminal defense attorney. He tried to persuade me to accept a plea deal for 5 years home imprisonment and register as an offender. I was innocent and I did not want to accept any deal.

Then, I retained Mr. Ippolito. I realize now that the difference between being found guilty or not guilty is a sound criminal defense. And, it does not matter if you are innocent. No wonder why so many innocent people get locked up for a long time. Mr. Ippolito immediately hired an investigator to gather evidence and we worked together with supporting documents. He requested DA to dismiss the case.

Last day of the court, sitting in the court room, waiting, Mr. Ippolito walked in. When I saw his face, I thought the DA would not dismiss the case. He checked his phone and looked at the court calendar. I could see worries on his face. My stomach churned and I sank in the chair.

Then, he had small conversation with the DA. I saw his face lit up with joy, walked toward me and whispered “Dismissed!” I could not control my tears.

I wanted to bring up the last date at the court house because, it shows how much Mr. Ippolito cares.

I could have gone with public defender, or stay with my first attorney or hired some other attorney that was charging less. I believe, I would not be able write this review if I did not hire Mr. Ippolito's services. Besides, his fees are very reasonable. Every penny is worthed!

Worst lawyer I have ever come into contact with was Patrick Valencia of the VIB law firm. Not only did he lie to me several times, he had the only witness for my case turn against me, then after losing the case he tried to charge me more money. I had to hire a different lawyer to send him a letter and then he finally quit harassing me for more money. Don't bother with this guy!!

My experience with VIB law was extremely positive. After reviewing multiple attorneys to represent my brother, a friend of mine recommended Mr. Ippolito from VIB and after meeting with him and learning about his extensive experience I knew he was the right person for the job.
