Our land borders a lake contained by a dam recently labeled as a "High Hazard" structure. Under recent changes implemented by the DCR, the dam was put into a category where repair to the secondary spillway was required. The owner of the dam felt that the homeowners bordering the dam should assist in paying for the repair.
To further complicate matters five different “Home Owner Associations” border the lake;
this meant differing organizations, guidelines, goals, and personalities.
We were in the unique situation of needing an Attorney with full knowledge of riparian law, engineering practices, and the conflicts that come with Home Owner Associations.
We interviewed three different Law Firm Attorneys that we felt would be able to offer
these diverse needs based on an internet search. It was on the basis of our interviews, his qualifications, and experience that we chose Mr. Reichle.
During the two years that Mr. Reichle worked with us, we found that he offered us his
professional and informed opinion with much appreciated candor. He was honest about
our obstacles and immediately discerned the need for shared information between all
entities. He was able to accomplish what we had failed to accomplish with unbiased
opinion and fact.
Mr. Reichle was able to negotiate an agreement that was favorable for many of the parties involved. This negotiation would not have been possible without his knowledge of the law, engineering background, conflict management skills, and tenacity. He represented us fairly and responsibly.
Finding an Attorney to represent us with honesty and integrity was our utmost goal. Scott Reichle provided all of these requirements and more. He became a friend, and we would not hesitate to recommend him or should the need arise, have him represent us in the future.
Respectfully,
Bill and Sheree Bowen
