Hiring Rick was the best decision. Once I presented my case to him and retained him, he went right to work. Preserving my career, 17-1/2 years in the Navy, was paramount! My case was not a typical one. He had to prepare for a case in a of couple months where the GOV had over 2 years of preparation.

He listened to me, was there when I had questions, advised me the best course of action and most of all reassured me considering I had a lot at stake. His team is highly professional, delivered on time and ensured all questions were answered.

We came out successful. His extensive knowledge of military law coupled with civilian law was very evident at the board.

If you need legal counsel for military matters, Attorney Rick Morris should be your first and last call, don’t just rely on a detailed attorney from the defense service office! You need an attorney who is not afraid of doing what is right and if that means ruffling feathers then so be it. My family is deeply great full to Rick and his professional team!

I made a mistake. I needed an expert and experienced Military Lawyer. I am prior U S Navy and U S Army. My best experience was always my interactions with JAG Officers. I found Rick Morris at The Law Center. The conversation we had about my career and discharge made me feel, Mr. Morris and his team could come up with the outcome, I should have received. It was a long paper trail, a great deal of patience and time, Mr. Morris and his team were there, when I had questions and doubt. I was reassured every step of the way, this would happen. They are great experts and very professional. I highly recommend Rick Morris and his team. I encourage everyone to remember, this is a process and takes time. Thank you Mr. Morris and your team at "The Law Center".

He doesn't answer phone calls or emails unless it's about money. I lost my case because he missed a filing date and now I'm out over 2,000.00. PLEASE look elsewhere or do your due diligence

I first retained Mr. Morris in 2014. I have dealt with other military attorneys before, but Mr. Morris by far is the only one I would personally recommend. Not only did he win my case for me, but three other Sailors that I recommended to him. For those that are not familiar with dealing with attorneys, most are not that personable. I felt as though not only Mr. Morris, but also his staff always treated me with dignity and respect, not just another paycheck.
This year I found myself in need of an attorney again. Not only do I give my highest recommendation of Mr. Morris, I have retained him for a second time on a different matter.

Mr. Rick Morris is the truth y’all he is really on point when he say he’s going to get it done it’s done. Finally a Lawyer that stands besides his word. If you need it taken care of through the military he’s your man. I’m very satisfied and happy with he’s service.

I hired Mr. Morris for a military NJP and BOI matter . At first Yes communication was difficult , as phone calls and emails were not returned as quickly as I thought they should be. But in the court Mr. Morris really performs at the highest levels I have ever seen . He is very meticulous and strategic . He is neat , very straight forward and direct with his defense . He absolutely blew away the opposition . My BOI found me not guilty of of any misconduct on both charges of of larceny and conduct unbecoming. Mr. Morris was very passionate about exhonerating me and restoring my career path. I am very blessed to have had him retained as my attorney. If you hire him and it seems like you are not getting responses stick with him because he probably has many cases at once but you won’t regret it.

Absolute fraud. Rick Morris will gladly respond to take your money, but he won't answer when it comes to your case. He literally never prepared anything for my case, nor did he send me any of the documents or call me back when he said he would.

If it wasn't for my command helping me with a time-sensitive memo, I would've lost my clearance thanks to this lazy, awful attorney. I was able to get my money back, minus the processing fee. It's a scam, and you'll lose your case if you trust him. Do NOT hire him.

Rick Morris handled my case from start to finish with the utmost professionalism, diligence and attention. He made it clear from the jump he would do everything in his power to pursue the intended outcome and I saw that carried out. I have had many a negative experience with attorneys in the past and came in to this one cynical and jaded. My opinion is changed; I now believe there actually are honest ethically driven attorneys out there. I highly recommend him.

This lawyer promised results from a discharge from 1994, an amendment, hopefully a upgrade-anything. He charged me 3500.00$ and it is now 2020, I’ve been able to speak with him a few times (u can count on one hand) but mostly it’s a legal aid and THERE HAS BEEN NO result, no refund of any-nothing. Think before retaining him. There’s a review done by a John Wickson claiming no refund, 4000.00 for nothing; mine was $3500.00, don’t let this happen to you.

My husband hired Rick to help remove a SCM that was entered in the NCIC database by mistake following an investigation in 2011. Rick told him the process would take 3 months and we paid him around 900 dollars in advance to get the discounted price. Unfortunately, it‘s been over 10 months and the only progress that has been made was when Ricks paralegal sent a couple BCMR requests and asked for updates. The BCMR process can take longer than the 3 month time frame he assured my husband he could have this done by. They don’t answer our phone calls 90% of the time or call back when we leave messages. My husband had 2 scheduled phone appointments and Rick failed to call him both times. We have been more than patient but our experience with these people has been less than mediocre. I hate leaving bad reviews, however, we feel that Rick lied to us just to take our money with no intention of trying to help my husband. Honestly, he probably doesn’t even know who we are at this point. If you want a lawyer who will be honest with you and not just say what you want to hear to take your money then I can’t recommend this place for any situation similar to my husbands.

Would give zero stars if I could. Rick Morris is almost impossible to get on the phone. Always working on a "more important case", going to court, calling days or weeks after he said he would, etc. Doesn't submit things on time. Asked me to research parts of my case and email him my findings, even though I was paying him thousands of dollars. Ended up not needing his services about a month after I hired him, and he wouldn't refund me a penny. Despite the fact that he didn't submit an appeal or appear at an admin sep board (both of which I paid him to do), he said I technically owed him hundreds of extra dollars for all the "work" he had done on my case..."work" that I never saw or heard about. Do yourself a favor and get a JAG for free. Almost $4,000 down the drain for absolutely nothing, plus a major headache for the time I dealt with him. Avoid this lawyer at all costs. Trust the negative reviews.

Every service member hopes to avoid legal interference in his/her career but sometimes bad things just happen to good people. It is in those times that having a well trained and highly experienced defense counsel is paramount. If you are in the military and happen to find yourself in one of those unfortunate situations, Rick Morris is your guy. Rick's unique, aggressive, and dedicated approach to the law profession was honed during his 20+ years of honorable service in the Navy JAG Corps, combined with his extensive, successful experience as a private attorney. His knowledge and mastery of military law is unparalleled. He is accessible, approachable, articulate, and very fairly priced (trust me!).

I was fortunate enough to find and retain Rick as my personal defense counsel early in a nearly two-year-long case and from that point on, I was confident that my rights were protected. He and his legal team invested countless hours (including nights and weekends) examining all elements of the case, interviewing witnesses, collecting data, authoring letters and reports, corresponding with command and regional JAG representatives, and ultimately mounting a successful defense on my behalf. His advice at each step was profoundly educational and made me realize how little I actually knew about the military justice system despite my own 18 years of active service.

I feel that I owe a great deal of my future career success to the services of Rick Morris and The Military Law Center. Rick is truly one of the good guys who looks after good guys. I could not recommend his firm highly enough. TWO THUMBS UP!!

I had retained Mr. Rick Morris to handle a very, in my opinion, simple case of mine. This was an entirely new process for myself as I have never had to retain an attorney. He was very straight forward with money and expectations. He asked all the right questions and knew exactly the right angle to work to ultimately get the judge to rule in my favor.

I gave four stars because, although he does make himself available with his cell phone, I believe he could improve upon his communication outside of the one-on-ones.

Overall I was happy with his services and obviously would recommend him to anyone in need.
