Divorce, is never a not nice word.

My story starts back in March of 2019.
After returning from out of the country.
Faced with being served, I was scared and panicked.
The person who I loved and lived for had hired a lawyer. One that had only heard the other persons story and so she had a dislike for me in every sense of the word. Without knowing me and she showed it.
I looked online to see who I would place my trust and honestly what felt like my life.
I found two that felt good, the first one was strained and I had no time for this.
So I called the second and I found Kerry.

Kerry answered my call and spoke in a very calm voice. Explained the course of action and of course the price.
Please know that there are lawyers in this town that no matter their headline about caring etc at a low or high cost.
Some will take you to the cleaners.. why? Because they are lawyers.
This just adds to the fear and confusion.

That being said, I went into Kerry’s office and met with him.
Kerry is the guy you want with you as the ship sinks, his demeanor and calmness held me together in the most painful event ever in my life.
I cannot tell you enough how many emails and ranting etc he endured.
Kerry allowed me to vent and always came back with a response of “it’s going to be ok”.

I cannot imagine the life of a divorce lawyer and what they see and deal with on a daily basis.
Kerry was there every step of the way with me, he advised the cost etc and did not want me to suffer any more then what I was going through.

We thankfully stayed out of the courts and my divorce was settled and done within 6 months.
Now divorced and all settled. The pain still lingers but I’m so thankful I had Kerry by my side.

I hired this law practice through the recommendation of equal rights for divorce fathers. I don’t have lots of money,but I hired another top end law practice to protect me. The divorce was dragged out and I couldn’t afford them. So I went to divorce fathers for equal rights out of desperation. I’m a good dad, i work, i provide for my sons needs at the expense of my own and I don’t complain. All I wanted was a fair deal that would Maximize my time with my son and someone who would fight to protect me. Please I don’t usually ask for help Let alone talk about asking for help so this was hard pill to swallow.

Here came the unknown partner late and unprepared. He had no clue what the arguments were despite my in person briefing w his partner, and phone call briefing w Kerry the week before. He made me so uncomfortable and my anxiety so high I settled. I went from having my son 6 days to 3. It gets worse.
