I hired Michael Byrne for a administrative hearing case. He told me in order to keep cost down if I would sign a non-refundable contact he could save time accounting every event. The money would not actually be not-refundable but the for rules of the NC BAR he would have much less paperwork. So I had a good feeling about him and signed. Well he tried to hurry my case and could not deliver on things he claimed he could deliver on.
He became very belligerent and told me to get another lawyer. He also reneged on his promise that the money was non refundable. We went to court and all of a sudden he had all of this accounting on false charges including multiple hours for bailing out of the case.
